Syracuse's lone big out of conference win is against Cal... Kentucky's is against Louisville. Half of our conference losses came without Evan Turner. I'm not trying to make excuses here, but we are an elite team when we have Evan.

Ohio State deserves to be with the upper echelon teams IMO. Kansas, Kentucky, and Syracuse are on a different level than the rest of the country IMO, and behind them you have a glut of very good to elite teams (Duke, OSU, Purdue, West Virginia).

Oh, and here's a list of the Top 25 teams by conference:
Big East: 5 (Syracuse, Pitt, West Virginia, Villanova, Georgetown)
    ACC: 2 (Duke, Maryland)
Big Ten: 4 (OSU, Purdue, MSU, Wisconsin)
Big 12: 4 (Kansas, Kansas State, Texas A&M, Baylor)
    Pac-10: 0
    SEC: 3 (Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Tennessee)

OSU is behind all those teams, IMO...

That's not how I remember it, but okay. There were a lot of people predicting OJ Mayo's USC team to beat K-State in the first round that year.

I agree with your point about Wisconsin, though.

Don't know if anyone has been watching the Big 12 tourney today but so far Texas Tech beat Colorado pretty easily and Nebraska upset Missouri

Mizzou going down to Nebraska is embarrassing. Missouri couldn't hit shit, and Nebraska sometimes goes lights out from the field.

We lost by 6 in Morgantown to the current #6 team in the nation... don't see how that proves we don't belong amongst the elite.

It rarely happens that teams see each other three times in a season, let alone win all three so tomorrow's game against GTown should be a tough one as it always is.

Luckily, the Garden is our home away from home.

                              #3 Syracuse (28-4)

We're dancin' for the second straight season!

                                My observations of the game:
                                - Karon Abraham has been the heart and soul of this team ever since Jimmy Langhurst went down. Incredible performance on the biggest stage by the freshman.
                                - Dallas Green loves the spotlight as well. Hits the game-winning shot in last year's title game, then scores nine points and adds a huge block to preserve the win.
                                - Free-throw shooting was horrendous. I don't know what it was, but 7-17 is never acceptable...unless Rob Rob shot all of them.
                                - Speaking of him, I was very disappointed in his play. Seemed like he didn't care - minus the one time he saved a ball from going out-of-bounds - and it almost cost us. He needs to be completely focused for the first round game.
                                - Russell Johnson had a quiet stat line, but he also showed how good he's going to be in the future. He has nice range from outside and can beat a defender off the dribble to get to the hoop.
                                - Nerves definitely got to both teams.

Great game and I can't wait to see who we have for the first round. Michigan State had a little trouble with us last season, and they made the NC, so whoever gets us in the first round won't be going against a push-over.
