A deal that would send Jermaine O'Neal to Miami and Shawn Marion to Toronto is progressing. According to a league source, the two teams have exchanged medical records, usually a precursor to a deal. The Knicks had talked to Miami about a Marion-for-Eddy Curry deal, but Curry has appeared in only one game this season due to a knee injury.

Lol @ Marion for Eddy Curry. Eddy might be one of the few more useless than Jermaine at this point. Atleast O'Neal is still a damn good defender in the post. Curry just likes to have sex with male limo drivers.Comment

The Kings are closely watching the current trade talks between Miami and Toronto. If Raptors forward Jermaine O'Neal doesn't go to the Heat for small forward Shawn Marion, the Kings could be the benefactor. The Heat, numerous league sources said, has had recent talks with the Kings and offered Marion for center Brad Miller and Kenny Thomas. But Miami also wants the Kings to take Marcus Banks, the little-used, sixth-year point guard who has this season and next remaining on his contract for a combined total of $5.1 million. Miller and swingman John Salmons remain the most likely significant players to be traded. According to a source close to the team, Portland is among the many teams that has expressed interest recently as well.

The Heat are playing well in Shawn Marion's absence as rumors continue to swirl in South Beach. Depending on which way the wind blows, Marion is either heading to Toronto, New York, Dallas, Sacramento, nowhere or parts unknown. What is known is that Marion is growing annoyed at the daily questions regarding his future. Heat president Pat Riley wants a center and cap flexibility for the summer of 2010. Marion has an expiring contract this summer.
