i wouldnt really call jeffries a stiff. he plays good D and has been making a lot of hustle plays. plus he leads the league in charges taken, which is not a bad thing
No question that Jared Jeffries is a huge bust. He had massive potential, but injuries have killed him. 5.3 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 1.5 APG, 0.8 SPG, 0.9 BPG, 43.3 FG%, 58.9 FT%, and the best of all.. 24.0 3PT%. For the 11th pick and what he was hyped to be, hes a massive bust.
Jared Jeffries is literally the worst player in the NBA. What the knicks saw in him to sign him to that ludicrous contract, i dont know. Thanks Isiah. These are one of those moves that you can only win in. Im looking forward to seeing Bender play.
Nothing Isiah did made sense - $29mil for Jerome James, trading our 2010 pick for Marbury. That pick could turn out to be John Wall.
yea and his retarded agents didn't tell Walsh how good Brandon Jennings really was. Now we're stuck with this bum hill who looks like Channing Frye without a jay
I blame Walsh for that. This poster from the Daily News website said it best:
"When does a GM blame his scouting staff for a pick which is ultimately up to the GM??? If the scouting staff is the same 1 Zeke had, what happened? Zeke is or was 1 and maybe the best talent evaluator, draft night GM I have ever seen. So why was the draft strategy so different if there were not any changes in the scouting staff?? I think this Donnies fault and nobody else's. You already had a multitude of forwards and you know that you needed a pg which was evident by the Douglas pick. So how did a forward make it to the top of your draft board over the pg which was more important? This what happened, somebody leaked the information about getting Stephen Curry or Rubio and there wasn't a fall back plan once they were picked. The only names that were floated leading up to the draft were names of pgs, but.....? Don't blame anyone but yourself Donnie because this could have been real simple. PG was a priority so if your top 2 pgs were already gone then you needed to take the next one available(Jennings or Lawson)."
Yeah I was shocked when I read in the paper that Walsh tried to pass the blame......you're the GM, that's your responsibility......they have no problem taking all the credit for drafting Gallinari tho
Probably best we didn't draft Jennings anyway, they would've just fucked him up
Look how Ariza shined once he escaped Knick purgatory

Yep, the Knicks do a lousy job of developing players. Even Frye's playing decent.
Frye is playing in the perfect system for his skills though.
Don't forget...he had a great rookie year with the Knicks, anyway...
Truth
I remember being excited about how he played for us as a rookie....then he hurt his knee and Larry Brown suddenly decided he was a bum...the rest is knicstory.....smh
Exactly Rhude. It wasn't the Knicks that "ruined" Frye, it was Larry Brown and his ADD when it comes to players. The guy can't decided who the hell he likes and when he does, he usually only likes the guy for about 6 months before trading him.
Frye had a 18.1 PER that rookie year, that's some good shit, but yeah he just fell on Brown's bad side.
