And until someone beats the Celtics in the ECF, they are the best team in the east. They still have the Big 3, Rondo, and the best record in the East. They are 27-4 in the East while the Cavs are 20-6 and Orlando is 15-5. They've beaten Orlando twice, both my double digits and split the season series with the Cavs so far.

There is no doubt Harris>Rondo. He is the leader of the nets while Rondo is the 4th scorer on the team. Rondo is obviously the better defender though.

AI is the better scorer obviously but that is pretty much it. Rondo is the better defender, shoots a much higher percentage, has 2 more rebounds and 5 more assists per game.

By the way, Rondo is shooting over 50%, 10% higher than Iverson, and also shooting 35% from beyond the arc while AI is shooting 28%. Rondo's shot is much improved. Let the stats prove it. Yes, Rondo gets help from his teammates, but Rondo is a key reason why they are the best team in the East.

Its a shame Derrick Rose isnt going to be reserve. He has better stats than Iverson....

Hell Gilbert Areanas was In the top 7 for guards, and he didnt even play a GAME this year.

Yea that's true. IMO they arent the best in the east. I beleive the Cav's are, but regardless he has been consistent.

As far as Rose goes, he is the leader of the Bull's.. Without them you can take away 5-8 wins. He needs to be a reserve atleast lol.

Why the fuck are you guys arguing? Rondo will more than likely earn a reserves spot. I'd take a reserves spot more than a starter spot considering people who actually know what the fuck is going on around the league (nba coaches) are the ones who vote on that.

Don't get me wrong, LBJ, KG, CP3, Kobe all deserve those starting roles but obviously AI does not. And clutch, Iverson was still the high scoring iverson we've come to expect out of him back in Denver. He's hardly putting up the same numbers in Detroit. It's not the whole argument of him being in the East dude.

I'm going to play Devil's Advocate here, even though I completely disagree with everything I'm about to say for the most part:

This is an All-Star game. I want to be entertained come All-Star Weekend. I want to see the best talented players come on the floor and light it up. I'm not interested in seeing Devin Harris do... whatever he does. I want to see Allen Iverson cross people up and be entertaining. Why do you think we voted in Vince Carter as the starter in the years he didn't really produce? Because he's an amazing athlete! No one wants to sit around and see Ray Allen shoot the ball. I can go home and watch that any day. I want to see high-flying dunks, facials, people getting crossed, and occasionally Shaq trying to be a point guard. That's fun. I could care less if Rashard Lewis can average 17 a game. I don't watch the game for that. I watch the game for the Kobes, the AIs, the LeBrons, the Dwight Howards... they're electrifying players who aren't boring as hell.

Rondo is overrated, he hinders that with his jumper as much as he helps. His defence is what keeps him in that starting role. Defences can afford to sag off Rondo and put a lot more pressure on the big 3, this hurts the Celtics but it helps Rondo. With this extra space and his speed, he can drive and make a lot of plays from that.

and yes, when the Celtics lose it's literally usually because of Rondo. When Rondo plays aggressive, the Celtics start out the season 27-2...when Rondo plays passive, the Celtics lose, it's been no secret. That's how the entire season has been. Rondo usually makes or breaks this team.




lol you told me not to question your basketball knowledge, and then turned around with the next sentence and said the Celtics were a surprise team in 07....pretty sure in the preseason, mid season, and post season they were viewed as the favorites. They also had the best record in the NBA, 3 hall of famers, and played better team ball and defense than anyone else in the league. That team winning the championship was not a surprise to anyone. They beat the best the east had to offer last year, and they've done it this year as well(Orlando twice, Cleveland once, Atlanta Twice Detroit twice). They're the defending NBA champs...was it a pretty road getting there? Not really...but they did it, that's all that matters.

You can think the east changed over, but the Celtics are no doubt a stronger team this year than they were last...as this year they are much deeper, Rondo's improved great amounts, and Perk has improved his defense even more than last year.

So until the east "changes over"...let's have some legit proof it has ;)
