    Brad Childress is a chicken

    Before I begin

    Me week 3
    * I want to see Chester Taylor carry the ball more. I refuse to call Peterson a great running back until he learns to protect the football.

W2B in a different thread regarding AD
Peterson fumbled twice while I read through this thread.
    :guns::guns::guns::guns::guns:

    Anyways.

I just want to up and say Childress is a pussy.
Amazing that a first year head coach can bench Greatest QB on the planet with an undefeated season on the line. Yet a week earlier Childress cant get his spoiled brat QB to take a seat for a drive.

His failure to reign in Favre in Sept -Oct has really been shining. His COMPLETE ignoring of Adrian Peterson's glaring hole in fundamentals for 2 seasons is beyond comprehension. Two situations he refused to assert himself and both have now cost Vikes first seed , and possibly a ton of momentum.

They can still turn things around and mask the flaws. But itll be akin to the 95 Cowboys getting there inspite of the coaches pansy retardedness.
Best reason to have a license.

Did Childress really just say "Can you feel me on that?"

Well that's lovely. What a press conference.

I don't understand why they don't split the carries more either . Taylor is a damn good back on his own merit so to keep using a fumble prone runningback over and over when you have a good backup is a little wierd .

And the difference between the two is, Manning may pull alot of gay faces on the sideline (and he did lol) but he would never throw his coach under the bus for anything . Caldwell knows that the leaders on the team trust him 100% which obviously helps . That and I think Caldwell may just be a stronger personallity than Childress in general

I think we saw what happens when Childress is running the offense in the first half of the game and what happens when Favre is running the offense at the LOS in the 2nd half. Childress has just got to admit that getting into that stupid tight set and running Peterson off guard on first and second down is stupid. The Vikings only hope to score points right now is to get the field spread to create some lanes. Of course, if the special teams play as badly as they did tonight...the Vikings will be one and done in the playoffs.

If Childress has a hair on his nutsack, Chester Taylor better start the game against the Giants at home next week.

Enough with AP being the best back in the game. Not with Chrs Johnson running for 2k and Steven Jackson going for 1k+ five years in a row behind a hideous line on a team that has won 6 games since I turned 30. I'm alot older than 30, btw.

AP is still one of the best backs in the league but enough is enough, let Favre fun the offense, i think he knows what he is doing.

Childress built this mess when he handed the keys to Favre.

Everyone knows Favre is a diva.

And the second Favre had success, he threw Childress under the bus.

As for Peterson, I'll take the production over a few fumbles.

Childress simply the wrong coach for this team. They need a coach with real credibility who Favre and Peterson respect ... not a glorified assistant coach.

He hasn't rushed for 100 yards in 6 weeks and wouldn't have any TD's if the receivers didn't fall down inside the 5 yard line and letting him get short runs to the outside. Tonight, he fumbled a ball deep in his own territory on a play that had resulted in a first down.

I am officially on the AP is overrated bandwagon.

If thats the way the offense works best fine. But my beef is him losing control of his offense early on then choosing a 7-6 game to man up. Its ridiculous.

That backfield in general was FAR better with both guys getting touches on a regular basis.

Yes Childress is a man of no spine. Peterson's fumbling issues should have been sorted by now, Taylor should be getting more carries. This has been apparent since we drafted Peterson, actually prior to Favre's arrival it was tragically obvious that with Peterson in we would run the ball and with Taylor in we would pass the ball.

The problems of the team go beyond a fumbling RB and a diva QB too. The Vikes have been thoroughly unprepared to play in 3 of the last 4 games. O-line, defence, special teams have contributed as much to the capitulation as Favre and Peterson. When an entire team plays below their skill level that's a sign of a terrible head coach.

the job of a running back is to advance the ball, not give it to the other team. that job belongs to the punter. that one little negative is what kills careers. this is like saying that limas sweed is a great wide reciver he just has one small issue with actually catching the ball. I hate to agree with W2B but AP is overrated in my eyes. until he can secure that ball and not fumble, especially in OT he should ride the pine.

This just in, the king of INT's that doesn't know what he is doing has the fewest INT's of any QB to start all 15 games this season and a 104.3 QB rating that is 3.3 points better than Peyton Manning.

If anything last night was proven, it was that when Favre took over the offense at the LOS in the second half, the team was scoring points like crazy. Childress' gameplan in the first half had the offense handcuffed and overly predictable. Favre > Childress in knowledge of the WCO.

Best example of that is in the second half Favre had them spread out and they get the ball inside the 5. Favre is waving the heavy package off the field that Childress is calling the play for. The Vikes had been slicing and dicing the Bears D in 4 WR sets the entire half. Childress goal line package comes in and Peterson promptly goes for a 2-3 yard loss off of right tackle.
