I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they got kicked from the league. This is not good for image and was incredibly stupid and dangerous for all parties involved.

A number of NBA sources believe that commissioner David Stern is going to issue stiff penalties to Washington guards Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton.

The league is investigating whether Arenas had accessed any of his unloaded firearms while engaged in the dispute prior to a team practice at the Verizon Center on Dec. 21.

The District of Columbia has stringent gun laws that prohibit the carrying of weapons, openly or concealed.

Both players could be subject to penalties and fines.

According to Gilbert Arenas' father, Gilbert told him there was no heavy dispute and no guns were actually pulled with bad intentions. It was all a joke that got blown out of proportion (this atleast is what I read from ESPN earlier).

Personally, I've never been a fan of Gilbert and his $111 million contract. Wizards are lucky if the pussy plays 40 games in a season. Why you would sign a 5 year $111 million contract with somebody in the middle of serious career threatening knee injuries is way beyond me. Javaris Crittenton was a future kid who never saw much playing time, don't really care what happens to him either way.

District of Columbia does have the strictest gun laws in the United States. Illegal firearms are punishable with jail time, IIRC. Not to mention, Carry Conceal Weapon licenses are not legal in public places which have a maximum occupancy of 200 or more people or around that number so even if he had a license, it was illegal for him to have the gun.

Looks like we're gonna be seeing a lot more of Nick Young and Randy Foye

My co-worker and I threatened each other at work with guns when he didn't pay off a gambling debt.

          That does sound ridiculous.

Was Wildcard there? Maybe they owed him money?

As much as a guy like Jason Whitlock gets hammered on for pointing out the stupid thug life shit in the NBA and how it turns some fans away from the game he is right. Stories like this are fucking retarded. Yeah, pulling guns is a great joke!

What the hell happened to this team.. 2 seasons ago we were playoff caliber... now we have a 3-4 stars and can't sniff a spot.

Bullshit like this makes me wish that we'd trade Gilbert.

can't trade Gilbert because they signed him to a $111 million deal

best solution here is to void his contract and use the cap space to go after players in FA this offseason IMO.

A star like Wade or LeBron or Bosh + a good draft pick + current Wizards team - Gilbert Arenas = playoff caliber team again

I'm bringing a gun to work today.

The man is getting to me lately.

Are you blind, dumb, stupid, or a combination of the 3?

I specifically said to void his contract because nobody would want his contract. And then I also specifically said pick up a big name in the Free Agency this offseason.
