Chris Bosh Wants Out!!

Chris Bosh reportedly informed Toronto Raptors GM, Bryan Colangelo, that he will not re-sign with the team in 2010, according to Stephen A. Smith.

Bosh can become an unrestricted free agent in 2010.

"He has no desire to remain in Toronto," said Smith, during a Feb. 1 interview.

Smith mentioned Miami and Dallas as possible destinations.

Bosh was named to the Eastern Conference All-Star team and is currently averaging 23.1 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.

Bosh Denies Rumors

Chris Bosh has denied an ESPN report that he has already told Toronto general manager Bryan Colangelo that he won't re-sign in 2010.

"No. No. No, I haven't told him that," Bosh said Monday after practice.

ESPN's Stephen A. Smith reported that Bosh told team officials he was leaving in a season and a half, not even citing anonymous sources.

"It was a surprise to me and I can't be responsible for what other people say so ....," said Bosh. "I understand people are entitled to an opinion but making stuff up? We can't do that."

Colangelo also shot down the rumor.

"There's no truth to the rumour or the speculation that he said anything to us in the organization, that he's going to be leaving," said the general manager. "There's no truth to the fact that he's on the trading block or being shopped in any regard.

"This is just another example of information that's out there that's not true .... There just doesn't seem to a lot of accountability with respect to the topic sometimes and that's why we're here today talking about it."

This is what I hate about Stephen A. Smith. The guy knows what he's talking about most of the time, but then he says shit like this. He always, ALWAYS puts his words into someone else's mouth. This whole "LeBron Race" started with him and now he thinks Bosh wants out of Toronto... all because he wants them to play on the Knicks, his favorite team. Stephen A Smith is a fucking idiot. And Bosh would be a bigger idiot for telling Stephen A he was leaving in 2010 this early.

The writing is on the wall, if things dont improve before the impending free agency, and I mean improve to the point where we're ABOVE where we were last year, not just a playoff team getting smashed in the first round, then the reality is Bosh is likely gone. Why stay on a team that seems to have no direction? Things looked so bright at the beginning of the year, im sure Bosh was thinking long term success in Toronto.. how a few months can complete change things.
