Stoudemire won't be traded to the Cavs, but this thread is still very lulzworthy.

because nash asked, i will talk about my basketball philosophies
First off, what defense you play depends on not only the team you are facing...but the players on your team. If your team isnt very quick and the other team is you probably wanna go zone. If the other team has good shooters as well make it a 3-2. If not, make it a 2-3. But playing a zone doesnt make up for being slow...you still have to get their to contest the jump shots. If your team is quick enough to not let the other team take you off the dribble all day then man is the way to go. If one player on the other team is killing you I usually like the idea of a box and one, unless the other team has pretty good shooters, then I would have my 2nd best defender guarding the other teams worst player on the man to man, and help my teams best defender on the others teams superstar, when necessary, leaving the other teams worst player pretty open. If the other team has only 1 good dribbler, or none, I usually like the idea of pressing, whether it be a fullcourt man, or halfcourt 3-2 trap depends on several things.
I am usually a fan of playing the 2-3 zone. I find at the HS level there arent too many great shooters. This is kinda ironic because I love playing against the 2-3 zone. I just find the openings and hit three's all day. I hit 5 in a row a few games ago against this defense lol. I am a SG first, PG second, and SF third. I consider myself an excellent shooter, an almost as good passer, and a decent rebounder (Im only 5'10"). I can jump pretty high so that makes up for the lack of height. I consider myself a pretty good defender as well.
I dont have any pics of me on my laptop but I guess I can get on my Dad's desktop later to show you guys my proof of HS baseball, HS basketball, and AAU Baseball.Last edited by BUCK3YE5; 02-17-2010, 06:52 PM.Comment

You do love sucking that dick

Your philosophy of leaving a man wide open is worthless. If I were facing you and noticed you doing this, I would have my worst player on the court stand on the block, have my star stand a couple feet outside the 3point line on the wing. Pass it to the star, your defender leaves my player open, easy layup.
I can somewhat agree with the 3-2 philosophy on quick shooters who are fast, but it's not something I would personally run.
How Ironic

Not to mention, everybody should be able to make decent passes. Dribbling is what Point Guards need to excel at IMO. I need a guy who can handle the rock and not turn it over, otherwise I just got two shooting guards. Personally, it sounds to me like your a ball hog with a half decent shot at most (if what your saying is true) and the real reason you quit is because nobody wanted you on the team.
Yes, do that, because I don't believe for a second you have played any basketball at all in your life.Comment

Hedo opted out of his contract, and the magic made several attempts to resign him. The Magic front office all thought that he was going to resign with them.
And also if I recall correctly, they made the VC deal BEFORE the free agency period hit.. or atleast well before Hedo signed to Toronto. So the second quote is completely wrong.Last edited by Shwayzed; 02-17-2010, 07:10 PM.Warner2BruceTD: wait, that was schwayzed who looks like ryan gosling?
