    W2BTD & Archer's NCAA Tournament Simulation (NCAA Basketball 2010)

    Here's how this works....

Once the brackets are announced, Archer & I will furiously attempt to play out all 64 tournament games, completing each round on Mon-Wed before the actual round takes place in real life, on the lagfest known as NCAA '10 online. Results, stats, comments, random musings, complaints, and Archer's excuses for losing every game will be posted in this thread.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    The Settings:

Game: EA Sports NCAA Basketball 2010
    Console: PS3
Ranked/Unranked: Ranked. Might as well pad my record.
Half Length: 10 minutes. "Simulation" might be a strong word. Get ready for those 23-20 barnburners.
    Level: All Conf.
Lag: Lots of it. It's NCAA '10, plus Archer lives in Sherwood Forest or some shit.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The Rules:

-We will alternate using the higher seed in each game.
-I will use Georgetown & Texas A&M regardless of alteranting seeds. Archer will use Marquette regardless of alternating seeds.
-I refuse to use Duke. All you, Archer.
-I'm pretty sure we both refuse to use Notre Dame. Whoever draws Notre Dame gets a bye into the second round. Fuck off, Mike Brey, everyone hates you.
-Disconnection in second half results in the team leading getting the win. Disconnection in the first half results in a replay, or just making up a score and advancing whoever we feel like it, because this shit is going to take forever.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Where else can you find a transplanted New Jersey guido living in Texas, and a mysterious British guy who lives in the chatbox, playing a laggy video game until 4AM every night, for no other reason than...well, for no real reason?

Check in and let us know you are following.

              The intro had me laughing

I'm willing to bet right now that I will have the superior record in these matchups

EDIT: I don't mind using ND but I refuse to start and use Gody

                Looking forward to this...will a #16 upset a #1? I think so.

We will be playing the play-in game first then starting on the mid-west

I will get an editable bracket done in a bit

FYI, I beat Archer's Robert Morris using Princeton last night.
You better hope I draw RMU, or it's one and done.

It was over when...-Winthrop missed a 3 at the buzzer.

Key Stat- PG Trevor Calvin scored 16 out of 38 Arkansas Pine-Bluff points

Up next- Arkansas Pine-Bluff moves on to Round 1, where Duke awaits. W2BTD despises Duke, so he will once again be at the helm of the Golden Lions.

                            Midwest Round 1 - #1 Kansas (Archer) vs. #16 Lehigh (W2BTD)

It was over when... - Archer made the daring move to bench struggling C Cole Aldrich. A 24-20 halftime game ended up being a rout.

Key stat - Kansas out rebounded Lehigh 24-12.

W2BTD says... - Closer than the final score. I chose to double both Aldrich & Sherron Collins, and it worked to some degree on Aldrich, but Collins still killed me. Once he built a double digit lead, I had about as much of a chance as dave at an over 40's mixer.

                            Stars of the Game
Kansas: Sherron Collins - 22 points, 4 assists
Lehigh: Marquis Hall - 12 points

                              Midwest Round 1 - #8 UNLV (W2BTD) vs. #9 Northern Iowa (Archer)

It was over when...Northern Iowa took a 7-6 lead, and never trailed again.

Key stat - UNLV was 3-10 from the FT line, and 35% from the field. Disgusting.

W2BTD says...I don't know if it was by design, but Archer's strategy of fouling my big men inside was brilliant. Game wasnt really close, a furious late rally made the score look respectable.
