I was about to make a separate thread for that. It's insane, after this off-season where I guess you could say that fan interest in the team has risen, you will go and bring back a guy like Isiah?

Dolan needs to take several classes, in basketball smarts and PR.

Why didn't Sprewell murder him when he had the chance?

If you guys had a better 2 guard I would say he'd fit in pretty well as the starter, but Felton is probably better overall.
Minus the Basketball IQ, Splitsecond decision making, on point passing, dead eye shooting, and ability to spread the floor, yea I'd say he's a Steve Nash Lite

Felton isn't even close to Nash, bad back and all.

You not even reading the thread

They were comparing Ridnour to Nash.

Oops. My reading comprehension is poor today.

                :orly:

                Felton through 5 years

                13.3 PPG 6.4 APG 2.6 TOPG

Just to humor you, I'll give you Nash's first 5 years in Dallas, not even using his first two seasons in the league in Phoenix

                13.5 PPG 6.5 APG 2.4 TOPG

Felton's 26, Nash was 29 at the end of his 5th season in Dallas. He'd play one more year there before going back to Phoenix.

Again, let's not act like this guy was a perennial MVP candidate all those years. Felton's numbers are much better at his age than Nash's were.

That's not to say Felton's going to be an MVP candidate, but we got him on the cheap (2 years, $7M) and he should put up better numbers in D'Antoni's scheme, especially coming off a down year.

Let's not write him off as a scrub here.

Felton only got 3.5 a season? Thats pretty shocking to me. Great value for the Knicks IMO.

Post reports the Knicks are on the verge of signing a young Russian center who projects to fit D'antoni's scheme well.

Plus, they're interested in trading Wilson Chandler (perhaps with Curry) to acquire a big guy who can shoot from the perimeter.

Yeah, my eyebrows raised when I saw that

I thought for sure he wanted 3. My understanding is the team has an option for the 3rd year.

If you're talking about Timofey Mozgov, I wouldn't get excited.

Chances are, he'll get minimal playing time in a back-up role and depending on how well he adapts to the NBA style, he may grow on the team.

They needed a big and he's big. :guitar:

I was just going off Rayman's post. That deal makes a ton more sense.

Yeah looks like the numbers got crossed on my part. Guess the 7 mil is his salary for the first year.

                              My bad.
