Foreal tho I love that my boy Joel Anthony is going to likely slide into the roll, assuming the Heat retain him, and they should. But I wont be surprised to see Haslem playing a lot of 5 wit Chris Bosh on the court with him this year.
When Haslem and Bosh are on the court, expect Bosh to play some 5 with Haslem taking the tougher defensive duty.

Big Z came to an agreement with the Heat, so he'll get some time with Anthony @ the 5.

Supposedly Juwan Howard is on board, too...but who really wants him playing more than 5mpg?

As is, the Heat's lineup looks like this...

C - Joel Anthony / Zydrunas Ilgauskas / Dexter Pittman*
PF - Chris Bosh / Udonis Haslem / / Juwan Howard / Jarvis Varnado* / Robert Dozier*
SF - LeBron James / Mike Miller / DeSean Butler**
      SG - Dwyane Wade /
PG - Mario Chalmers / Kenny Hasbrouck* / Patrick Beverley*

*May be D-League / Europe bound to start the season.
**Injured, won't be back until February/March if at all this season.

Probably could use a veteran point guard, and then you can probably call it a day...that is a championship winning roster though, for sure.

Bell is meeting with the Lakers on wednesday

Bell is traveling to Los Angeles this week to watch the ESPYs and has arranged to meet with Bryant to hear the Lakers' face of the franchise make yet another recruiting pitch to the 33-year-old swingman.

Bell acknowledged last week in a phone interview with ESPNLosAngeles.com's Dave McMenamin that he has already fielded several phone calls from Bryant, who was unforgettably clotheslined to the floor by Bell in Game 5 of a testy Suns-Lakers series in 2006 that L.A. ultimately lost in seven games.

NBA front-office sources say that Bell continues to draw interest from a variety of playoff teams, such as Miami, Dallas and San Antonio. One source said signing with the Heat has essentially been ruled out because of Miami's financial constraints after signing LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Mike Miller to flank the re-signed Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem. But the Suns are also weighing the prospect of trying to bring Bell back.
Longtime rivals Kobe Bryant and Raja Bell will sit down for a face-to-face chat Wednesday in Los Angeles to further discuss the feasibility of the Lakers signing Bell in free agency, sources said.

I fully expect the Heat to sign atleast one more veteran PG and possibly another wingman to go along with the team, both at vet minimums im sure. Still havent heard any word on whether or not Joell is going to be retained, I think hes on a team option.

Big Z wants to finish his career in Cleveland and Gilbert and the brass told him he'll be welcomed back with open arms. Z has always handled himself with class, he loves Cleveland, and he wants to come back to finish his career... I hope he gets a ring. I'll be rooting against the Heat, but for Z if that makes any sense.

Mike Miller apparently being pressured by other teams not to take the deal.. and is now reluctant according to rotoworld.

Miller says the deal is not done and it now sounds like there's a chance he won't join the Heat. We still think they're the favorites for his services, but it's not yet a done deal, and Miller could end up elsewhere. If the Heat need to make a stronger offer, they could pull a qualifying offer to center Joel Anthony. Stay tuned.

You know Haslem is a G and dedicated to the Heat when you have your state tattooed on your back.

It says something about Haslem, who took another paycut that totaled to $20+ million with his last two contracts. This guy WANTS to win and has what it takes for the playoffs.

                    Haslem > Beasley
