I was saying to somebody on AIM, I wonder if it had something to do with not going to College? It seems like alot of the players straight out of High School have issues with maturity/decision making off the court.

Jay Williams spent years at Duke and despite being untrained and having a clause in his contract still crashed a motorcycle and ended his career. Yeah, that's only one example, but it's just as unfair to paint all high school guys with one brush too. I don't think it's necessarily college vs. pro, but rather who you surround yourself with in LeBron's case surrounding himself with childhood friends and horrible businessmen like Maverick Carter has in my mind, not really paid off at all.

I'm starting to have more and more respect for Derrick Rose through this whole thing. Rose knew it was his team to lose, and he wasn't losing it. He wasn't go to get on his knees and beg for someone, if someone wanted to play for his team then they could approach him

That's also not Rose's personality. He's a really mild mannered guy, really soft spoken and yeah the more and more I read about this entire thing, I think a lot of the guys really knew what was going down. Rose seems to definitely have known that he could've looked like a moron begging and pleading for LeBron only to be left out dry.

Maverick Carter was on Lebron's HS team at St Vincent St Marys, i remember him from the games they showed on ESPN.

I still think Rose, Noah, and crew have a legitimate chance at a championship in the near future. I think he's a burgeoning star on his own, and I agree that he doesn't need to beg for any player, certainly not a prima donna who can't win in his hometown.
