What did Jordan win prior to Pippen's arrival? The whole "you have to win by yourself" statement is one of the largest misconceptions in the NBA. You can NOT win by yourself.

Nobody said that, of course you can't win by yourself. Where has that ever been said?
There's still defined leaders and top dogs on every team though. Even with Pippen as his Robin, Jordan was still Batman. Kobe even with Gasol and Odom is still the undisputed leader of that team.Comment

I'm satisfied with the Knicks right now and better yet, still plenty of space to improve in the next 12 months.
As for the Heat, all I'm saying is, it's win multiple titles or BUST.
A lot of pressure on James (despite being 1 of 3) and as we have seen in the past, he's not exactly the man to excel in those situations.

This is what Jordan DIDN'T do, he didn't run to Magic, Larry or Isiah. He was too much of a competitor to wave the white flag, unlike LeBron - He EARNED his championships and never did he QUIT on his team while in the playoffs, unfortunately. (Knicks fan)Comment

But hey, it could just be my bias kicking in for enjoying the moment of the big 3 signing, which has yet to even come a reality.
Nice tag-line there.

New York has Melo and CP3 on their radar, it'll be interesting to see how that develops.

I really think LBJ lost some confidence in the playoffs and started to doubt himself a little bit. It's an easy thing to do. He's human.
If he can't handle the pressure, then Miami may be a good place for him, where he doesn't have to be "The Man".Comment

Edit:
It's obvious LeBron doesn't care about his legacy anymore, he threw it away to join Wade and Bosh for a chance to win multiple titles. For him, it's down to winning. I don't think he'll care about his "legacy" anymore, knowing that it's well down the drain. He could never be Jordan, he couldn't win by himself in Cleveland. So, he came to Miami.Last edited by Miami Flash15; 07-19-2010, 11:05 AM.

Which is cool, that's fine but he has to understand why a large chunk of his fans and in my case former fans are extremely disappointed by that route.Comment

Jordan had a supporting cast around him. Lebron is now the supporting cast to Wade in Wade's city. James joined Wade. Jordan's guys either came to him or were drafted by the Bulls.
It didn't matter what James had or didn't have in Cleveland at this point. He chose being a man in Miami or THE man some place else. That's the point.
It's not as though Cleveland wasn't trying. They were brining in anyone and everyone they could to help Lebron. The effort was there. If I'm Lebron and I'm worried about winning AND wanting a legacy as perhaps the GOAT...then I go to Chicago or New York. LeBron wants to win, that's great but he sacrificed his legacy to do so.Comment

He realises why fans are dissapointed, but right now he justs wants to win and he couldnt do that in cleveland.Comment
