Orlando should make a run at Steve Nash if Phoenix has a rough go at it this year (and they might).. they could send em Jameer Nelson and whatever else to make it work (they have promising young big men in Bass and Anderson) and I honestly think he would help Howard soooooo much offensively.Comment

BTW I dont see ANY WAY LeBron can continue using the moniker "King" James.. if anything he should be relegated to Knight status..
KNIGHT JAMES!Comment

But in reality im not sure Orlando will ever be able to win a ship without getting a real PF at the 4... Rashard Lewis gets shredded defensively by big 4's. Pau Gasol ate his food in the finals a couple years ago. I know Shard fits that offense so well at the 4... but defensively its a nightmare, especially come playoff time. Howard can only help lighten the load so much.
I just remember what Paul did for Tyson Chandler's career, so can only imagine what he'd do for Howard's who basically is a rich man's Chandler.Comment

Nash, would be great, but IMO Paul would be an even better fit, because he's younger and could grow with Howard. Orlando is way over the cap and they aren't going to win anything anyways, so they're not only wasting time, but also money. They have some intriguing pieces to throw at New Orleans and IMO they should do it.Last edited by Kuzzy Powers; 07-19-2010, 07:39 PM.Comment

Another bruiser to help Howard would be great, but they also need a perimeter player who can create not only for himself, but others. Nelson does this in stints, but nearly consistent enough and Carter was brought in to do this, but he's past his prime and would rather take jump shots.

If Orlando is serious about winning, which given the fact they are $20 million over the cap they seem to be...... they have to do something. They already proved they can't be an aging Boston team, so what are they going to do with Miami? They have no perimeter players who can contend with James or Wade....granted Miami won't be able to stop Howard, but they won't have to, because with Wade and James attacking the hoop Howard is sure to be in foul trouble.Last edited by ralaw; 07-19-2010, 07:43 PM.Comment

I still don't understand why people call Bosh a "superstar"...Comment

Not sure if Orlando needs a guy who can score at the 4 but even a thug/bruiser like Reggie Evans would be a great fit IMO. What is killing Orlando is Howard's inability to get a real offensive game. If he could you'd could go out and get an Evans type to bang and play defense....but as it stands now Howard doesn't have enough O to make up for an Evans type at the 4 and that leaves the Magic having t o stay with Lewis there and he get's shredded by guys like Gasol. If Howard could ever develop a move and a counter move he'd be almost un-guardable and Orlando could look to fill in the 4 with a better championship fit.Comment

Lewis has a rough 2-3 years on his contract. It won't be easy to find teams to give something back for him for another year at least. Definitely agree he has dropped off for the past few seasons regularly.Comment

Last year was a bit more harsh than the recent trend but some it last year was IMO really missing Hedo and the open looks Hedo would find him. It's going to be tough to move Shard's contract but if Larry Hughes can get moved around 5 times I'm sure Shard can. A team like NO might do it while moving Paul just because of the demand and a guard like Collison would be nice for Lewis to play with he can float on the wing while Collison breaks players down.Last edited by FirstTimer; 07-19-2010, 08:07 PM.Comment

I think "The Decision" was classless, embarrassing, and silly, but with that said...
I don't understand all of this "second fiddle" talk when it comes to James. He's a much better player than Wade. You have Kobe & LeBron (whatever order you prefer), then you have a gap, and you have everyone else.
I'll take LeBron & Bosh over Wade & Bosh every single time.Comment
