James impact on that entire region is quantifiable.
Dan Gilbert may be impetuous, but he's not stupid.
So the Browns should have offered him a max deal.

If it kept him in Cleveland ... yes.

        Bullshit.

Lebron quit. You can keep on defending him, but he fucking quit. Game 5 wasn't the elbow. It wasn't Mike Brown's coaching. It wasn't Shaq's ugly ass clogging up the lane. It wasn't Mo Williams throwing up ill advised shots.

He quit. In the days following, "The Decision", people around the country agreed. You can choose not to believe it, that's ok. Kobe quit on his a couple of years ago too, even demanded a trade, but then backed down and sucked it up and won 2 straight titles and played for a 3rd. Lebron left town. Let's see if he has it in him to win a title.

Lebron is a once in a lifetime talent... why would you not want to re-sign him? The reason there is so much animosity coming from Cleveland isn't because he left after all the special treatment, or that he left in general, its the way he left. Not returning Gilbert's phone calls or texts, not having the balls to face Gilbert and the Cavs brass to tell them he was leaving after everything they did for him, going on national TV to stab us in the back, etc.

So he didn't play well in one game of a 7 game series? Again....shoot the man.

In case you forgot, he came back in game 6 and had 27/19/10 and they still lost. Sounds like quitting to me. The team wasn't good enough to win a series against the Celtics, no matter how well James played.

                You're on a roll tonight.
All Queen James had to do was be a man - say "Dan, Cleveland ... I love you, I really do, but I want to live in Miami so I have a better chance to win a title."
He didn't need a one-hour blowjob special on ESPN to sell out his home state.
                It was pathetic.

Frankly, he should have been honest with them three years ago and just asked to be traded. He knew then he didn't want to be in Cleveland.

IMO, a Jordan-like competitor would have stayed in Cleveland or gone to the Knicks or Nets and said: "I am gonna show you..."

Instead he said, I love the James Worthy role.

(I don't mean that as a knock on James Worthy ... and apologize if it's taken as such)

Are you forgetting his 9 turnovers? Are you forgetting how he ignored Mike Brown's calls to foul in the closing minute?

Wasn't good enough to win? They handed the Boston Celtics, who are one of the most storied franchises in all of sports, their worst home loss in playoff history in game 2. They had the series deadlocked at 2 games a piece coming back to Cleveland. Then he quit.

And Ray Allen shooting 6 for 9 from deep, while the entire Celtics team shooting 55% had nothing to do with the Celtics blowing Cleveland off the court in game 5. The Cavs have 17 turnovers(LeBron with 3) had no difference on the outcome of the game either. Being out rebounded, being out assisted, and the bench getting owned 30-18 that game meant nothing towards the final score.

Just a little FYI, when LeBron "quit" in game 5, he had the best +/- of any starter on the court for the Cavs. Face it dude, your Cavs would have gotten the shit kicked out of them that game whether LeBron goes for 0/0/0 or 40/10/10.

There's no way in hell LeBron James was coming to NYC. Any realistic Knicks fan(like myself) would tell you that. With our shit owner, shit coach, LeBron knew he wasn't winning here. Knicks can't even get the fucking draft right. Chicago has a much better upside than NY. I always thought LeBron would go there if he decided to leave Cleveland.

I read somewhere, and forgot where, that Wade, James and Bosh all got together years ago and agreed to make sure all there contracts ended on the same year, so that they could all play together.

Somebody in this thread said that James signed a three year extension on his last contract with Cleveland. That fits in with what I read.

Anybody else hear anything about this, or is it just internet gossip?

If it's true, that this was set up years ago, then Cleveland should be pissed. It's a little hard for me to believe this.

Anyone heard anything about this? True, False?

Then Cleveland has a right to be pissed. James never really intended to stay. He should have manned up and told Cleveland ownership.

                                I am disappoint.
