His ability to get to the free throw line is the sole reason we picked him up. That was a glaring weakness last year and it looks like it will be fixed. All the guy does is drive and he looks for contact. He's not afraid to be aggressive and definitely not afraid to put his body on the line to get a call.Comment

If he goes back to his bread and butter he can really help a team.Comment

Maggette is known for getting to the line. I believe he was top 5 in free throws attempts last year with 551. Maggette’s averaged 7.1 free throws to 11.2 shots per game in his career, and gets to the free throw line every 4 minutes on the court. He's also one of the league’s best a finishing with contact. Unbelievable toughness on the offensive end. That stat line screams "Refs suck" but if their was one player who could pull it off, I'd put money on Maggette. As a matter of fact, he's improved his overall game. Corey is coming off two solid years in Golden St where he had a shooting percentage hovering around 55% in both years.
Of course it can all go to hell if he doesn't fit in the system and ends up alienating teammates with his ball hogging habits. Extremely selfish player that doesn't move the ball around, and often looked as a player who is just trying to get numbers on bad teams.
In the end, I expect good things on the offensive end for Maggette. For the Bucks? I guess wait and see is the best approach.Comment

Check your stats. I wish he was hovering around 55% for us, then he wouldn't have pissed me off for two years. In fact, his first year with us he was just around 46%. He needs to stay away from anything from the perimeter.Comment

Good eye, I was looking at his pre-season averages for that part. My mistake. However he did take a step forward last year, improving to a career high 51% from the field.Comment
