The only fuck up so far is on Denver's part for pulling Jersey's dick for so long.

The Knicks are not going to give up the entire team to get a guy they have as good a shot to sign in the off-season.

Even if Melo ends up being a pussy and signing the extension in Denver, the Knicks have a good core to build upon. :guitar:

I don't get how Melo signing with Denver makes him a Pussy. He has a better shot winning in the West rather than in the East (Heat, Magic, Celtics), he'll get paid more and he likes the city of Denver.

Obviously his heart/dream job is in NY but it all comes down to how much you are willing to give up for that dream.

Melo's never been disgruntled and demanded he be traded or else. Most of the drama has been over hyped by the media and his "camp"/agent.

Fact of the matter is Denver/Melo are caught up in a stare down contest and it looks like Melo might have to blink first.

He'll have to make a decision on whether to take the money or give some up and go after his dream job. What ever he decides you can't call him a Pussy . In the end he holds all the cards and is going to make the best decision for him and his family.

I say he may be a pussy because either way, he will lose money. Once the new CBA gets done (whether it's in the off-season or in a year), they will scale back on salaries.

Obviously, he cannot force Denver to trade him. However, if they keep hold of him and he ends up signing the extension out of fear that he can't make as much money on the open market, I call him a pussy (of course, it that turns out to be true, never mind ).

            Carmelo Anthony available, but Knicks balk at request for Gallinari, Felton, starter, Curry, pick;

Yea they wanted Fields as well, but the deal with Gallinari, Felton, Curry, 1st for Antony (Extension) and Billups.

              You take that deal.

You cant do that deal. 3 Starters for Melo/Billups (no doubt Billups would probably be gone at the end of the year)? No thanks.

At this point, Denver is trying to use some mysterious leverage...I assume this was the first official trader offer from Denver.

                The battle rages on.

                    Randolph + 2 of the following 3 Chandler/Fields/Galo

Trading anymore than that would be stupid.

That would have been a sweet trade for Denver.

Denver is trying to get Noah from the Bulls but the Bulls are saying no.

                          Latest is from Newsday

The Knicks are willing to give up either Chandler or Gallo and they say a PG swap of Felton for Billups would "not be a deal breaker."

The problem comes because as they did with Jersey, the Nuggets keep asking for more.

The Knicks...at least Donnie Walsh, is not going to trade Gallo/Chandler, Felton, Fields and Mozgov for Anthony and Billups.

Jersey is back in the damn picture.

After vowing to no longer pursue Carmelo Anthony, the Nets have restarted talks to land the All-Star forward.

Post reports the Nuggets asked for Mozgov, Chandler, Gallo, Felton and a 1st round pick for Melo and Billups last week.

                                lol

Obviously, if that's the case, I'd agree with the notion the Nuggets have no intention to trade the guy.
