      From Wojo's twitter:

      @WojYahooNBA

Denver-NJ in advanced talks on Anthony, Billups, Balkman, Ely, Williams for Favors, Harris, Murphy, Uzoh and 4 1st rounders, source tells Y!
Also reports saying Melo will meet with Prokhorov over the All-Star break this weekend.

NJ will do the deal if they get assurance from Melo that he'll sign the extension with them.

As has been the case since this fiasco began, it's all in Melo's court.

I'm sure Amare will get to him first.

Unless everything this dude's been telling his boys is total bullshit, he's not going to say "OK" to signing that extension. NJ's gonna have to do it on faith that they can convince him over the next few months.

If dude sticks to his guns, he'll be a Knick. If he gets wishy-washy, he'll go elsewhere or stay with Denver.

He can really go either way.

Amare's job will be to convince him that it'll be worth it.

I actually think that's a pretty fair deal.

The Knicks won't win the East this year anyway.. Billups deal will come off the books next year.. and then they can add Deron Williams.

          Deron-Melo-Amare > Felton-Melo-Amare.

Deron's not available for another 2 years. Same class as Paul and Dwight.

We don't konw what the CBA situation is gonna be like. It might be fiscally impossible to have three superstars the way the Heat did at that point.

Trade Felton and Fields you literally have nothing at either backcourt spot. If Kelenna Azubuike was healthy, that would be another thing. He's not.

I'd drive Chandler and Gallo to the airport myself. They'd be bench players with Melo here anyway.

I wouldn't trade Gallo, he really opens the court with his 3 point shooting. Melo is more mid-range and Amare is mid to low.

I always liked the Nets deal the best for the Nuggets. So as a Nugs fan I'm excited, but as an even bigger Melo fan I'm not too enthusiastic... I really wanted to see Melo play for the Knicks...

Looks like Nuggets would deal a 1st rounder and Murphy to a team to named later. And from all accounts I hear Denver would also look to trade Devon Harris. They are happy with Lawson and want him to get more PT.

Looks the Nuggets front office knows what they are doing. Lol...

Bucher says a source told him Melo would only agree to sign the extension with Jersey if NY cannot get a deal done with Denver before Thursday.

So it does appear either NY or Jersey.

Another report the hold up in the Knicks eyes is Gallo. Right now, they appear hesitant to include him in a deal. It's said besides Melo, Chauncey Billups and Anthony Carter would come to NY for a package including Felton, a draft pick/Randolph and possibly Chandler....plus Gallo.

I just don't get how the NYK can offer something better at this point. Well I mean without doing something retarded.

It's kind of weird because it seems like Nuggets have the upper hand in everything right now... Even though everything is hinged on whether or not Melo signs the extension, its obvious he wants the $65 mil and out if Denver.

The only way he gets that is if he signs with the Nets or NY blows thier load on him...

                            Nuggets win either way.

Knicks don't have to blow their load though. They'll have to give something, but nothing like the 4 starters Denver wanted earlier in the week.

If they can give a respectable offer and Melo holds to his guns, it's a game of chicken. Will Denver stick to their guns, keep him and let him walk as a F.A. (while trying to convince him to sign) or will they trip and send him to NY for Chandler, Gallo, Felton? (for argument sake)

i hope Chauncey seeks a buyout and comes back to Denver, trade Harris to a team like Portland for someone like Batum, trade Murphy to someone for an expiring. Denver might look really different after the ASG
