Michael Jordan announced on Wednesday that Larry Brown is stepping down as head coach of the Bobcats.
"The team has clearly not lived up to either of our expectations and we both agreed that a change was necessary," Jordan said, adding that Brown "will continue to be a valuable advisor to me regarding the team" and that "The search for a successor will begin immediately." Brown had a 88-104 record as the team's head coach, including a 9-19 record and just 91.8 points per game (second-worst in the league) this year.
