Better scenario: Can Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi, Maya Moore, Candace Parker, and Brittney Griner beat Centenary's men? (Obviously, they'd get a bench, but these are the standouts.)

The women would just be giving up too much physical size and strength.
If it was a free throw contest, yes they'd win. But it's a physical game ... and assuming the men took the contest seriously, the UConn women would have no answer for the physical disparity.
Imagine the first time one of the UConn women took a hard foul driving to the basket.
You're talking, on average, 50-60 lb. weight disparities per player. And the men would be just as quicker or quicker.

I'm sure there are non-contact sports where women may have a shot, but not any contact sports.

I think 5 guys who play pick up ball reguarly could beat UConn's team. They dont even need to be pros.. just guys who know how to run basic plays and play a couple times a week competitively. The women will just be dominated physically. Once they start throwing the body around on the women its over.

You know who else would beat them? Stanford's womens team.
