    Nets To Acquire Deron Williams

Favors, Harris and more to Utah. From Wojo.

Draft picks too. Nets get their superstar and will have room to add another in the future. Wow, this sure as hell came out of left field.

Having the blood of Jerry Sloan on your hands will do that do you.

LOL at Deron. No superstar is going to come to Jersey. Chicago New York Miami Boston LA are all more attractive options

They aren't in Jersey much longer though.

Why does Utah need another PF? Also why do they want Devin Harris also are they crazy?

Good thing they're moving to NYC then.

This worries me a bit only if Deron stays a Net past 2012. Right now, they're still not a playoff team.

The Nets have to hope the move to Brooklyn will entice top FAs to come. If not, they're fucked.

I'm well aware. Jersey as in the team. Not the shit hole city. There are a host of other teams that are more attractive in the coming seasons. If Williams seriously expects to stay there and have a big time FA come to join him he's dreaming.

Williams will stay for a bit then hop across town to the Knicks. The Nets just got screwed long and short term.

Or Deron stays and convinces a big scorer to join him and Lopez in Brooklyn.

At this point, I'm sure he's just thrilled to get out of Salt Lake.

Deron Williams is a pretty good first piece to NJ's desire to be an elite team, but I wonder if Williams agreed to sign an extension. I wouldn't be surprised to see another Utah trade soon, because Jefferson, Millsap, AK-47, Okur and now Favors = someone needs to go. I'm not sure about Favors, but IMO Utah came out well with this trade and certainly better than they would have had the waited until next year.

Like I said. If he thinks that he's dreaming.

Utah will receive NJs 2011 first rounder and GS' 2012 first rounder.

Not sure if there are any protections to either. I'd imagine not.

Edit....Woj says the GS pick is protected from 1-7 in 2012.

Lockedonsports on twitter says Deron was shocked, didn't call to be traded and isn't talking until he gets the low down.

                            Uh oh for Jersey lol

By all accounts, he did not speak with NJ and they may not have any assurances he'll extend with them when his deal is up.
