Celtics Deal Kendrick Perkins for Jeff Green

Both will be free agents at the end of the year, Boston receives PF Jeff Green for C Kendrick Perkins.

I like the deal for both teams as if Perkins can stay healthy, he gives the Thunder another big body on the front line.

Love the deal for both teams. Jeff Green is there for long term, he'll be most effective as a 6th man.

as a Heat fan i'm a lil worried and happy at the same time... Perk is great on d, if Shaq gets in foul trouble LeBron and Wade could have their way... on the other hand Jeff Green is athletic and will be a better defender against the guys on the perimeter

Is Jeff Green even good? I thought he was generally considered a disappointment.

I like this trade for OKC though.

Nate and Perk for Krstic and Green.

I hate Nenad Krstic, he's soft and plays zero defense. The Celtics now have literally no shot blockers.

On the other hand I felt this season Nate was contributing very little, sure he played great in that one finals game but I dont think the Nate experiment was really working out.

Oddball move here I never liked what Jeff Green showed on the court, but this is good news for the Knicks.

Green is solid...just too much of a tweener and couildn't adapt to playing PF at a high level...he's gonna be able to play more on the wing for the C's...plays solid defense out there as well...

Yeah. I expect him to play a role similar to that of James Posey from the championship run back in 08, which is something the Celtics were sorely missing.

However, initially I liked the move, I do have my reservations simply because of our complete and utter lack of interior defense now. Perk has been fantastic in the past at keeping Dwight Howard, and other high caliber centers, in relative check. I've got no faith in Nenad Krstic to even be remotely useful on defense, and the O'Neals...yeah. I'm not so sure I like this the more I think about it, unless we can pick up some random veteran buyout to fill the vacant spot there.

While this move gives the Thunder some much needed defense, it sucks that it had to be Green . And we got Nate Robinson? Fucking why? He's just a gimmick player at this point..

i just dont understand this trade from the Celtics' perspective. they lose one of their biggest assets in Perkins who showed his true value in the playoffs until he got hurt. the only way this makes sense for them is if Perkins' health is way worse off than any of us know.
