    Buyouts

I cant beleive players anymore. You get traded to a team and you dont want to play for them so "buy me out" then all you want to play for is the Celtics, Heat or Knicks.

Bibby bought out after 2 games with the Wizards wants to play for the Heat and looks like he will. Bibby isnt want he use to be but still a very good point guard and much better then what the Heat have now. IF the Heat win the Championship this only diminishes even more with a 4th player of caliber in the starting lineup

Murphy who has done shit in my mind and doesnt even deserve to demand this signs with the Celtics today.

I'm guessing you're a wizards fan. Did you really want bum ass Bibby hanging around stealing minutes from Wall?

I agree though that the whole buyout thing is stupid. Hopefully the league does something about it.

      (from OS);

Carlos Arroyo has been officially cut from the Heat and is now a free agent. Mike Bibby will now officially sign with the Heat once he clears waivers.

Troy Murphy is going to sign with the Celtics once he clears waivers.

The Knicks claimed Derrick Brown off of waivers.

Kendrick Perkins signed a 4 year/$34.8 million extension with the Oklahoma City Thunder. The deal includes $750,000 in possible annual bonuses.

Corey Brewer is going to decide between signing with the Spurs, Celtics, and Mavericks after being bought out by the Knicks.

Leon Powe is going to decide between signing with the Knicks, Hornets, Grizzlies, and Heat now that Boston has all of the big men they need.

The buyout talks with T.J. Ford and Jason Kapono are going to go down until the last minute, as they want to know where they are going to go once they are waived.

I can see why for older players who want to actually win.

          No Im a Bulls fan.

I guess loyalty means nothing, these guys all wanting to play with 4 teams. Nice to see the hornets and grizzles thrown in there atleast.

Still remember when Peyton and Malone signed with the Lakers and everyone thought they were a cinch to win it.

God I'll be pulling for every team not named the Heat Celtics or Knicks. (not like I wouldnt have been doing that anyway)

Buyouts are fucking dumb. A lot of the time you see a guy get traded, bought out, then re-sign with the same team. The NBA is a joke and bad contracts dont mean the end of the world anymore. That's why teams overpay because they know they can get rid of the contract if worse comes to worse.

imo there should be a waiver system so that if a team that needs him wants him they can offer whatever they want and if another team wants him they have to pay above the asking price

if the player doesn't choose to sign with a team they cant play for the rest of the year
                  RIP

huh? So that system requires players to take the highest money offer?

                    Silly.

Powe signed with the Grizzlies, Al Thorton signed with the Warriors, Brewer with the Mavs.

                      Its really not that bad.

Bibby is averaging 3.3 pts and 1.5 assists so far as a member of the Heat. He's made 7 shots total in 4 games. Throw in his defense, which is easily among the worst in the league, and we're talking about a bottom-10 point guard.

                          Bibby is a dingleberry.
