    Hardwood Classics on NBATV

NBA Network had two really neat games on last night.

Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Semi's where the Magic knocked out the Bulls.

Shaq looked thin, Hardaway could still ball and Dennis Scott and Nick Anderson could flat out shoot. Forgot just how athletic and good Pippen was on the wing and how out of basketball shape Jordan was rght after he came back from basketball. he just didn't have "it" back yet. Missed a lot of easy ones in the lane.

The other game I saw was Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals. Jordan's last as a Bull. Forgot how active Rodamn was and how great a defender and rebounder he was. He was all over the place. Pippen was hobbled with a bad back. Jordan had 45 on a really off shooting night but had "it" back and took over the game in the last three minutes and basically carried the Bulls all night because of the Pippen injury.

I also forgot how much of a complete puss Malone was at the end of his career. The Bulls double down on him constantly and he'd panic, turning the ball over. He looked like he wanted no part of finishing around the rim and was a bit of a non factor in that series until a monster Game 5.

Sloan also helped possibly cost the Jazz a title. Pippen could barely make it up and down the floor and every time they put Pippen in pick and roll situations they got wide open jump shots. Why Sloan insisted on leaving Carr in the game in the 4th so Pippen didn't have to do anything on the defensive end is beyond me.

If Sloan goes to a smaller lineup/rotation(Stockton, Hornacek, Eisley Anderson, Malone, Russel) for most of the game and forces Pippen to guard someone athletic who is a threat the Bulls lose game 6. Instead Sloan leavs Carr on the floor, let's Pippen guard Carr, who was old, slow, and shitty by this time, and basically only gets points off the Pippen injury by luck. Terrible coaching by Sloan

Me and you arent aloud to discuss the Bulls and Jordan. It turns into a fight LOL. But I remember that game, wasnt he wearing the 45 yet? Didnt Anderson fall off the face of the earth then and started missing like every shot and free throw after that series?

Jordan had the flu in the one game vs the Jazz and they still won he went for 30 some. I agree with you there Sloan didnt do them any favors.

Game 6 he was wearing 23. He switched from 45 earlier in the series.

Wrong season for the Bulls/Magic matchup.

Anderson had a bad game or two that(1995) series. But you are confusing his falling of the earth with the series the next season(1996) when the Bulls swept the Magic.

EDIT* Yeah he had a shitty Finals too* Although his ECF was pretty good.

      Wrong season.

Jordan's Flue game was during the 1997 NBA Finals.

Yep. Look at his performance in the '95 Finals against Houston.

And I thought that Magic team, with all that talent, would win multiple titles.

holy shit Im terrible with dates.

I wasnt sure when Anderson fell apart or against who I just remember it being a deal.

Didnt realize they played Jazz in back to back years, kinda all runs together for me.

Anderson missed those crucial free throws in Game 1 vs. Houston. He was never the same since, and Orlando got swept.

            The games I want re-broadcast are Game 5, Suns/Celtics/'76 Finals(greatest game I ever saw) and Game 7, Celtics/Sixers/'81 ECF.
