    What teams do you see as being at the top in 5 years?

    Exactly as the title says. Trying to get some activity going in the NBA forums, esp since it's playoffs.

    I can see the Thunder being at the top for a while, especially if they can afford to keep Westbrook, Durant, Harden, Perkins and Ibaka, but Harden will be gone soon.

    Also, the Nuggets look like their on the right path to success, surprisingly.

    Thoughts?

                      If the Bulls can pull off a trade for Howard and possibly pick up a better SG..they will be scary.

                      I see the Bulls/Heat/Thunder/Knicks being the top dogs for a while.

                          I feel like all the older players are slowly cycling out and the new ones in, though. Spurs won't be anything in a few years, once all their guys retire.

                                          You may have thought my Wizards comment was merely a homer statement but the team has some solid young talent to build around. They are a bruising post player and a shooter away from being a playoff team in the East right now.

                                              Wizards/Heat/Bulls/Thunder/Kings

                                              Wizards because they have the next Derrick Rose to build around plus McGee is getting a lot better.

                                              Heat for obvious reasons.

                                              Bulls just because they look so damn good this year and they'll only get better.

                                              Thunder because they have the best young team in the NBA.

                                              Kings because they will have the next best young team in the NBA.
