Steve Kerr compares Lebron to Pippen

Isn't the first or last person to make the connection. I've been saying he plays more like Scottie than MJ since rookie year. It's not a knock because Pippen is a Top 50 player himself. LBJ's game is just different than Michael Jordan's was, and the sooner he and others embraces that the better. He is not MJ, he is not even similar to MJ. He's a hybrid of Karl Malone (physicality, questionable crunch time track record), Magic Johnson (passing, vision) and Scottie Pippen (athleticism, defense, first step, etc.).

Queen James isn't quite Scottie Pippen. I'd put him closer to Jordan than Pippen, but Kerr has one thing right - Queen James is NOT Michael Jordan.
He simply doesn't have the killer instinct.
That said, all those years on the Cavs Queen James was a 25-28 ppg guy and a triple-double threat many nights. Pippen, when Jordan went away because of his chronic gambling issues, was never what Queen James was for Cleveland.

Queen James made a huge difference for Cleveland, Pippen was always a #2 guy.

This final series just showed James is not Jordan.

nope. never had it, never will. he seemed afraid to take a shot down the stretch. no ice in his veins. he seemed to lack confidence.

I wonder for how long will people be saying Lebron James isn't MJ.

It's funny how people constantly explain this even though it's quite obvious to 99% of people.

But that's the point, kid. A lot of people believe he is (at least until this series).
                            It's ridiculous.

There's no doubt in my mind Queen James is a great, unique player ... but comparing him to Jordan is insane. He simply doesn't have that killer instinct and an even greater flaw, he wants to be loved. Jordan didn't give a fuck. Hell, even at his HOF induction he was politically incorrect and ripped everyone.
