His freshman year under Gillispie he was an absolute headcase who threatened to transfer but spent most of the year as a 6'6" PG. Calipari gave him the ultimatum when he was hired, he told him if you want to make this team you have to defend your ass off and rebound. Liggins took the challenge to heart and went from one of my least favorite players his freshman year to my favorite player because of hustle and heart by the time his junior season ended. He's a 10th man at best most likely in the NBA until he shows more offensive prowess.

He couldve used another year in school but he has a kid and apparently the paycheck in Lexington wasnt big enough to support a kid and a babymama. He claims that Calipari limited what he was allowed to do offensively in the DDO and he was going to show pro scouts his offensive repertoire. Kentucky held a combine for all the guys entering the draft and invited all the NBA scouts, apparently he impressed enough scouts to get invited to the workouts with the big time prospects.

Realist you're a magic fan im guessing? He showed me much more in college than Daniel Orton ever did but he doesnt happen to be 6'10" like Orton was.

I wish we would have picked someone other than Leuer, mainly because he is white and went to Wisconsin, but I still am not a big fan.

On NBA TV David Aldridge just said that the Clippers own Minnesota's 1st round pick next year and it's unprotected. That is huge because next years draft is supposed to be really good.

And knowing the T'Wolves luck, they will FINALLY get the first overall pick...and it won't even be theirs.

The Clippers and T'Wolves really need to figure out the whole protecting top 5 picks thing.

Pretty sure the pick had protection and it just ran out after 5-6 years.

In other news the 'Wolves drafted a 26 y/o they thought was 21.

Jonas Valanciunas' buyout was officially agreed upon & signed this afternoon. He'll be free to sign with Toronto in 2012.

I keep reading Iman Shumpert is solid on defense. That means no playing time with Pringles as coach.

Speaking of no playing time, what was the deal with Andy Rautins? Isn't he suppose to be some great perimeter shooter? Figured he would at least get garbage time off the bench, but not even that.

Any time Andy saw the floor last year he looked absolutely atrocious, so he had no chance to build on any sort of PT. Rather unfortunate..
