I just watched a show where a guy moves his family to Morgantown, WV so he can be a professor at WVU, and his family is appalled by how shitty the town is. Almost as an aside, the guy mentions that neither he nor his wife have ever been to Morgantown. Great plan! Then the guy says his budget is like $300,000 and he wants a nice house with a big yard etc. etc. etc., and the realtor is showing them neighborhoods that look like they are in Romania. And the wife gets all pissed off and they end up buying this mediocre house for $450,000 and no one is happy.
I used to work for an internet provider that serviced primarily West Virginia. I say primarily because although the company was in multiple states all we ever got was calls from West Virginia. The fucking (304). After about 6 weeks of getting screamed at unintelligibly by rednecks who couldnt understand the difference between a phone cord and an ethernet cord, I office spaced. (So you quit? no. so you were fired? no. I'm just not gonna go anymore.)

Anyways, im playing NBA2k12 and getting depressed everytime it flashes what would have been a great matchup either today or in the near future. especially depressed when it says "real NBA!" and it should be showing real NBA scores...

Either they can get the framework of a deal done today/tonight or another bump in the road comes of this.

        Oh....
To Jordan's defense he's always been a greedy dude and with that news nothing has really changed. In both situations the end result is Jordan wants more money.

Varying descriptions about the meetings (that are apparently ongoing, despite a 5pm deadline)..

Adrian Wojnarowski: The NBA and NBPA have made significant progress Wednesday night toward reaching a deal, two sources briefed on talks told Y! Sports!
Chris Broussard: One pessimistic GM told me he hears that good progress is being made...still, he's only cautiously optimistic
Ken Berger: There've been "no blowups," the source said. Progress is slow, but the effort to reach an agreement is there.
Marc Berman: Source debriefed on seven-hour meetings say whether deal gets done is "still unclear'' but "they are working hard.''

            Shit.

Well, that didn't take long. Reports are already starting to trickle in about things not going well at the meeting which started at noon EST. Alan Hahn of Newsday reports that inside of an hour in, he's not hearing positive feedback. Apparently the small-market owners have shown back up to bully and prod again, including reportedly Peter Holt, owner of the Spurs. SI.com reports that things sound "stalled." It's like we all keep waiting for the owners to blink in this game of chicken they're playing with themselves, and they just push the pedal harder.

I have a feeling it will get done soon. In the meantime, I don't care to read about any more meetings.

                Players seem to be folding.

                Tough shit for them.,

What they don't seem to realize is that outside of maybe one or two of them the fans loyalty is to the franchise/city....not to the players.

                  Shit needs to hurry up.

It's true when they say you never know what you have until it's gone.

The revised offer the NBA sent to the players is said to be not much different at all, so expect the players to reject it.

They get paid millions while reg people make a lot less, why don't they just accept it and be happy they make that much and get on with the season?!?! Damn tired of waiting for this to come back!

P.S. people like Rashard Lewis and Michael Redd with HUGE contracts need to give up some of their money in their contract cuz they're not even playing how much they're gettin paid for smh

They also generate more revenue than you and I do.

People don't pay $100 to watch me work.

No player gets paid during a lockout.

If owners were smarter, they wouldn't give horrendous deals out to begin with.
