Celtics Sign Marbury

Marbury can't hurt the Celtics mentally. Their locker room has KG, Allen, and Pierce in it. He'll be on his best behavior.

As far as basketball goes, Marbury is 10 times better than Cassell was when Cassell signed with Boston. It will take Stephon around 6-8 games playing with the team to get back to his old self, but he'll be a great asset come playoff time.

Not sure about Mikki but Marbury is getting the Vet. Minimum, pro-rated for 2 months and the playoffs. It rounds out to about $400k. They hardly pay him anything and he is playing for a contract, and to prove he can still play with a better team attitude, win-win situation. Can't wait for tip-off!

Another nice thing about Marbury being on the second unit is that he can create shots. Eddie House is a great player but only when he can catch and shoot from deep. Marbury is a guy that can open up the floor and give House that opportunity. We've all seen what Eddie can do when he's left alone.
