    Eastern Conference:
    1. Chicago ----
    2. Miami 3.5 GB
    3. Indiana 7.5 GB
    4. Boston 10.5 GB
    5. Atlanta 10 GB
    6. Orlando 11 GB
    7. New York 14 GB
    8. Philly 14 GB

Boston has 6 games left (@ CHA, @ NY, vs. ORL, @ ATL, vs. MIA, vs. MIL)
Atlanta has 7 games left (vs. TOR, @ TOR, vs. DET, vs. BOS, vs. NY, vs. LAC, vs. DAL)
Orlando has 7 games left (without Dwight? @ CLE, vs. PHI, @ BOS, @ UTA, @ DEN, vs. CHA, @ MEM)
NY has 7 games left (vs. MIA, vs. BOS, @ NJ, @ CLE, @ ATL, vs. LAC, @ CHA)

It will take a lot for the Knicks to jump up but I guess moving up to 6th is the most realistic if Dwight is out with a west coast trip mixed in.

move to 6 and maybe they can beat the Pacers...

but if the knicks Draw the Bulls or the Heat, they'll be lucky to get a game off of them

Only 5 games left and the Knicks would need to win out with the Magic losing out unless they win a tiebreaker (with 4 wins and 4 magic losses).

Against Chicago or Miami, I'm expecting a sweep.

I just hope Woodson doesn't force Amar'e back into the starting line-up and ruin Melo's mojo.

Amare and Woodson say they're shooting for Friday.

Best bet would be to get him a couple of games before the playoffs start. Baby dreds and all.

Both Chicago and Miami aren't playing too well right now, plus who knows if Drose will be himself come playoff time and the heat aren't playing great right now. I think we have a chance to beat either team but it will be a long shot, don't think we will get swept facing either team.

Knicks will be lucky to win one game against either Chicago or Miami.

Both Amare and Davis expected to return tonight.

Knicks clinched a playoff spot with Milwaukee losing Thursday night. Will be the first time since the 1999-00 and 2000-01 seasons they will make the playoffs in consecutive years. They have not won a playoff game since April 29, 2001.

Orlando is in the 6 spot now, up by 3 games and have 4 games left (@UTA, @DEN, vs. CHA, @MEM)

Knicks will play @CLE, @ATL, vs. LAC and @CHA.

In the race for the top seed, Miami is behind Chicago by 1.5 games with 4 left (Chicago has 3).

Knicks signed Dan Gadzuric and waived Billy Walker.

Knicks can forget about the 6th seed.

Amare must have missed the memo that cornrows are no longer in style, as he's NOW getting his.

Knicks still alive for the 6 seed but need Orlando to lose to Charlotte and Memphis.

That was a good read. Not the place for it, but it's really a shame that Grantland can't get more consistent with the quality of the pieces they publish
