Much like the Raptors. These sorts of teams have to build from the ground up and hope any superstar they could possibly draft doesn't leave via free agency. The Raptors have figured this out, which is why they keep drafting foreign players, because they can't keep the good American players.

Agreed and that's why cap space shouldn't be a priority as much as being bad enough to draft high in the lottery and possibly find your way into 2 picks in the first 15-20. By opening up cap space you basically force yourself largely to sign the Travis Outlaw's of the world as your backup plans to fill out a mediocre 6-8 seed.

LOL, I saw this on the train today and immediately thought of this post:

Jamal Crawford is a FA to keep an eye on w Indy. Bird has always liked him and Indy lacks a player that can get his own shot off the dribble

There was talk of the Bulls getting Jamal Crawford.

I understand that but it doesn't mean they have to blow money on greedy mediocre players who will take shots and time away from the younger players.

Last years team was the most enjoyable in years (which is not saying much).

                  Crawford in Thib's defensive system!

Long possessions, spot up shooting created off screens and an emphasis on defense.

                    Jamal's heaven!

In all seriousness I will miss Instant Crawfense. He is a fun player to watch and if you've ever heard him give an interview you know he comes across as a likable guy. But whatever team gets him next will be over paying for a volume shooter who doesn't really play defense.

The Bulls are also considering CJ Watson for their starting 2 position. I love CJ, possibly his biggest supporter on here, but thats a disaster waiting to happen.

Are they actually? I thought that was just some shitty article/idea written by KC Johnson

Starter? This can't be true. No contending team should consider that. I can understand as an off the bench/scorer type, but not as a starter.

I just looked up the story.

It could be true. According to Johnson team management has considered it as one of many options.

This doesn't make any sense. Are they being cheap or something? Rose is a great player, but he needs some help.......putting Watson at the starting 2-guard isn't the answer. Why do teams get these young superstars and just sit on them? The great teams build around and compliment them. The Bulls may not realize it, but they aren't beating the Bulls or Knicks (when they get Chris Paul) with CJ Watson opposite Rose. Sometimes I wonder how some of these people even got these jobs and if its that easy I should just apply or something. SMH.
