Cavs Interested In 'Surprise' Free Agent?

    LINK
There are mounting rumors that the Cavaliers might be interested in a "surprise" free agent.

Cleveland has long been linked to Oklahoma City's Joe Smith, who is reportedly close to a buyout, but another well-known veteran forward could hit the market.

A source said that the player's name would "surprise" a lot of people should he receive a buyout and become a free agent.
Who do you think it is?

But in all seriousness I could see it being someone like Penny or Reggie.

Doubt Joe Smith is the "surprise". Joe Smith has been pretty publicly linked to the Cavs and it would surprise no one if he went back there after spending previous seasons there. In fact the article at the start of the thread points out that the source says the surprise would be someone otehr than Smith.

but in order for him to be bought out, the Pistons would pay him 14million? If thats the case, Dumars would never do it. Not with the way Detroit has been playing, and all the money the have this offseason would be spoiled.
The way DET has been playing? Care to tell everyone there record against teams about .500?
