Brandon Jennings Will Consider Leaving Milwaukee

When his rookie contract is up.

Brandon Jennings revealed that he will consider leaving Milwaukee for a bigger market when his rookie contract ends.

"I am going to keep my options open, knowing that the time is coming up,'' Jennings said in an email interview. "I'm doing my homework on big market teams.''

Jennings will become eligible to sign a long-term extension with the Bucks this summer.

"I'm not saying I won't (sign an extension with the Bucks) and I'm not saying I will,'' he said. "I'm just keeping my options open.''

Jennings played one season in Italy instead of going to Arizona for his freshman season.

"It has nothing to do with the city of Milwaukee or anything like that because that's where I started my career,'' Jennings said. "They've been nothing but good to me. (Coach) Scott Skiles and (general manager) John Hammond have been good to me. It's just that I'm understanding the business of basketball now.''

I'd like to see him stick it out with the Bucks, but then again, it'll get worst before it gets better.

Given the climate of the NBA it's really no surprise, but I hate when players say shit like "keeping my options open".

Brandon has an inflated sense of how good he is. He's able to chuck and put up a high volume of points because he plays in a smaller market and for a relatively poor team. He's not a big star.

Jennings is garbage. Pray your team doesn't make him an offer in free agency.

He is not a star...he's a chucker at PG...for a championship team a guy like Jennings is fourth fiddle at best, and I don't think he's a championship type player. He's a classic scorer that plays on shitty teams.

This is pretty funny to me actually. Basically the NBA is a copycat culture now, where in order to be a "good" player you have to pretend like you're too good to play for a small market team.

He's not really that good, so good luck with the whole ring chasing thing. If he thinks he's gonna be able to join up with "other stars" who will jump at the chance to play with him, then he's retarded.

Makes me respect Kevin Durant that much more since he's perfectly content staying in OKC and building his own legacy there.

The big difference is Durant can build his own legacy, all Jennings is really doing here is admitting he's not good enough to do anything on his own and would rather just hop on with someone else.

Well to be fair, he's right to feel that way. He'd be delusional to think he could carry Milwaukee to a title. But saying it in such an arrogant and public manner, as if big market teams are going to be tripping over each other to lock up "BJEN" or whatever shitty post-nickname nickname he's known as, is kind of lame.

No, he's definitely right in thinking that but don't say it, because it makes you look like an idiot and yeah those teams aren't silly. They know what type of player he is and know his lack of efficiency and huge ball-hogging ways.
