He's looked great so far. I'll wait until the later parts of the season to see if he can handle an NBA season first before I fully judge him though.

          This.

We all saw what happened to Brandon Jennings.

I see a more efficient Derrick Rose in Kyrie so far.

Kyrie couldn't hit shit tonight [2-13]...the worst I've seen him shoot all season. It seemed to be contagious though as the Cavs as a whole shot 31%. On the bright side even tho his shot wasn't falling, he still got his teammates involved with the 11 assists.

I think he's more similar to a young better shooting Chris Paul.

Better shooting at the beginning of his career. CP wasn't the best shooter when he came in the league, but he developed his shot to be pretty money. But all in all fuck CP3

                    That was my point

At the same point they are similar type athletes, similar passers/creators/control of the offense.

Irving is ahead of the curve in shooting at the moment.

He will make a nice duo with Lebron in three years.

Do the all the people who were saying that the Cavs should have taken Kanter over him still feel the same way?

lol what? I never heard ANYONE say that Kanter should have been the #1 pick. Some argued the Kemba Walker/Derrick Williams combo would be good, but theres no way we could pass on Kyrie.

Yeah I never heard anyone say Kanter should be the #1 pick over Kyrie. Irving was the consensus #1 pick for quite some time despite being injured. If anything people hoped he would fall to them at the 4 spot.

I do remember people questioning Irving based on him only playing 11 games at Duke. I remember laughing at that belief. The #1 pick was about 2 guys....Irving and Williams. I said take Irving.
