UD battling for one of the last spots in the tournament currently. A month and a half ago they were considered a lock. Then they went on a 4 game losing streak including losing to Rhode Island who did not have a conference win. Best performance of the season yesterday tho when they beat UMass by 33. They look like a tournament team again, but will it be too little too late?

Great news for the Flyers tonight as St. Louis beat Xavier.

And UCF lost to Memphis, eliminating any chances UCF has at getting in unless they win the CUSA tourney.

A loss in either of these last 2 games would eliminate the Flyers from getting in [barring an epic A10 tourney run which is possible]

Completely unrelated to this year, but still awesome.

Dayton coach Archie Miller said the Flyers have been in discussions with Memphis about a home-and-home series, but that’s been put aside for now while the Tigers map out their future in the Big East. It’s still a possibility, though.

Miller also said the Flyers are working on a series with Saint Mary’s, which is ranked 21st in the coaches poll this week. He’d like to start it there in 2013-14 as the team travels West for the Maui Invitational.

UD will play at Alabama and Southern Cal next season and host Murray State. They’ll also play in the Charleston Classic with Baylor, Boston College, Colorado and St. John’s.

We also need a St. Bonnies win against St. Joes tonight to have a shot at getting a first round bye in the A10 tourney. Legggo!

Atleast they showed up for Senior day. Chris Johnson balled out. Easy W against shitty George Washington. Will be interesting to see how the final A10 standings end up because depending on who wins/losses today Flyers could get a first round bye which would be awesome

Flyers get the 6th seed in the A10 tourney, and get a home game on Tuesday against GW again. Take care of business there, and we get Dayton v Xavier Round 3 [teams both protected home court in regular season]...in a game that would also eliminate the loser from NCAA consideration.

Gotta handle things against GW to earn that chance though.
