    Dayton - 57
    Colorado - 67

First half was incredibly sloppy for both teams. Lots of turnovers and terrible shots. Dillard got 2 fouls within the first 2 minutes so he had to sit...yet Dayton still was able to get a 27-23 lead going into half.

Second half Colorado caught fire and no one on this offense could do much aside from Dillard here and there. Pretty bad shooting performance from most of the team, and far too many awful turnovers resulting in easy fast break points. The loss of Kavanaugh is going to be so brutal on this team. There is absolutely no inside presence. Benson/Oliver/Robinson combined 6-25 Hard to win games shooting 33% from the field.

Back at it again tomorrow against the loser of Baylor/Boston College.

Flyers played a great game against BC. Dyshawn Pierre got the start instead of Robinson, but both of them balled out. If those two guys can produce down low, this team could be pretty good. Highly doubt they will be able to match the production they had yesterday on a consistent basis tho, especially since both are freshman. So many young players on this team tho it's going to be a fun season to watch.

hard fought grind it out victory against the Manhatten Jaspars. 66-58 final. Vee Sanford and Dillard combine for 39pts. This backcourt is fun when both are on.

Weber State up next for the Flyers Wednesday at UD Arena

Flyers suffered a brutal 1 point loss at home to Weber State. Offense was terrible...UD has serious problems scoring in the half court when Kevin Dillard isn't on the floor, and even when he is they aren't that great. Josh Benson played great, Dillard too...everyone else was poop.

Flyers had the ball down 1 with 30 seconds left...and didn't even get a shot off. Got called for 5 seconds. Something that absolutely CAN NOT happen.

Wasn't a pretty game to watch, but Dayton was up 25-6 at halftime against NIU and cruised to an easy victory.

Flyers go into the 1/3 filled arena at Alabama and takes care of business. Dillard with a career high 24, Benson ties his previous career high at 21. Great performance all around.

                6-2

Dayton gets off to a horrible start against MiamiOH [down 18-9, had 7 turnovers in the first 10 mins] but got things together and cruised in the second half. Benson played well, as did Oliver and Pierre.

Miami has a new coach who used to coach at Tennessee State. He completely changed that team's style of play. Every year for the last 10 years or so, Miami was one of the slowest paced teams to watch...now they press and try to push the ball. Much more exciting to watch than in years past.

Flyers took care of business against Florida Atlantic, winning by 25 points.

Next game is Wednesday at home against Illinois State. Should be a tough test for Dayton.

Recap from last night... Dayton 73 Illinois St 74.

exciting game to be at, but the outcome was not ideal. First half Dayton struggled with turnovers racking up 7 in the first 10 mins or so. Both teams shot really well in the 1st half. Second half Illinois St went into a 2-3 zone that Dayton could not figure out AT ALL. Multiple scoreless possessions against the zone, many times they couldnt even get the ball into the paint against it. Just awful. Then Kevin Dillard hurts his back with 4 minutes to go which really hurt considering it was a close game.

ISU missed some FTs down the stretch giving UD the last shot down 1..but Oliver's 3 was off the mark and Sanford couldn't quite make the fallaway shot at the buzzer after a scramble.

Tough loss, but ISU got a nice squad. They got a big man and a lot of guys who can shoot the ball. They should make noise in the MVC.

Huuuuuuuge win for the Flyers today. Took down Murray State[9-1 heading into the game] 77-68 at UD Arena. Shocked Kevin Dillard was even able to play after his back tightened up on Wednesday, but he had 18 and 10 dimes today...LSU transfer Matt Derenbecker was 4-6 from deep and had 15 points. Vee Sanford chipped in 23.

Big time win for this ball club especially after the tough loss to Illinois State. Beating Murray State is a good win to have on your resume come March.

Dayton is off the whole and travels to play @USC next Saturday.

After losing to USC in OT last Saturday Dayton beat UAB by 8 yesterday at home. UAB not that good, but we need all the wins we can get before the brutal A-10 conference play starts.

                            Next game.. Wednesday AT VCU

26 turnovers against that VCU defense. Good lord.

Turnovers becoming a real problem for this team...they can't handle when defenses turn up the pressure. 24 turnovers tonight in a 2 point loss at La Salle
