    Top 3 annoying NCAA players

    #1) Shabazz Napier, UCONN

Wealth of talent, but streakier than Chubby Giangio's underwear. Excels in semi-big games, disappears in most other game. Game is very similar to former Indiana Hoosier Eric Gordon; constant traveling, overtheatrical "flailing of the arms", tremendously bad passes. On several occassions, has travelled, then flung his body backwards into a trailing defender in an attempt to get bailed out by a foul call. I've never seen anything so stupid, except for the stupid refs who actually fall for this shit and blow their whistle. I am strongly hoping that UConn's season ends in the Big East tournament just so I don't have to hear anything more about this POS.

    #2) Keith Appling, Michigan State

I've never seen a player so devoid of any basketball awareness. His entire game is based on travelling. Green is wide open in the post with a 5-11 guard on him...instead of just passing Green the ball, Appling has to dribble once, jump stop, take two steps sideways, jump in the air, then pass the ball before he lands on the ground. Huh? If he has a clear lane to the basket he does nothing. If there are three guys on him, he tries to plow his way to the hoop. And by plowing his way to the hoop, I mean picking up the ball beyond the 3-point line and somehow being allowed to not dribble until he's under the basket. Michigan State is in trouble if Appling has to actually carry the load, and now it appears he might have to.

      #3) Kendall Marshall, UNC

I'm used to players nowadays getting away with travelling. I'm used to UNC players being overhyped as if every year UNC is sporting the Jordan-Perkins-Worthy team. But Marshall combines these two into a devasting combo. Instead of travelling by taking steps, Marshall is allowed to carry the ball with every dribble. He might pass it...but the defender jumps in the way...no problem, just continue dribbling as if nothing happened. Someone is guarding Marshall close. Does he dribble around him? Does he pass? No, he makes three different feints during one dribble of the ball, his palm facing upwards the entire time. Its as if time is stopped and the defender has to guess not only which way Marshall is going to go, but when he is going to start dribbling again. Marshall isn't bad, but his play is too inconsistent for a team that merely needs a consistent PG to win the national title. But don't think Roy Williams is going to actually do anything about it, he's too busy worried about his next tee time. I predict the typical UNC flame-out in the NCAA tournament.

Good stuff. Have to disagree a bit on Marshall though. His play isn't inconsistent its that knuckleball he calls a shot. If he can just knock down a decent % of the wide open looks be will get throughout march. Roy can't do anything - not even anything close to anotherpg on the team.

I have a strong dislike for Terrance Jones (KY). I really don't know why, but I do. I can definitely see why you picked those three guys though... Napier bugs the shit out of me, and seems to have tons of problems with pressure. He has his moments, but probably has a better chance in the NBA where defense is nonexistent.

you're not fond of someone scoring 8 pts on 4 dunks and flexing his muscles at the camera after every one? NO Waiiiiiii

i liked him last year but he shouldve just went pro after his freshmen year, he actually seems to have regressed. He seems so focused on the scouts watching the games that he plays erratic. He has improved tremendously on the defensive glass and blocked shots though.

I fucking hate Marshall but this list lacks Harrison Barnes.

He carries himself like he's a "star" but he's not...he can't get himself open and is nothing more than a glorified jump shooter...he can't get to the hole because he's too slow, a mediocre defender...he's the 4th best tarheel behind Zeller (best), Henson (defensive ability is uncanny and better rebounder), Marshall (look at how bad Barnes was when Drew was PG, gets HB easy looks).

I am impressed with his abilty to see the floor but he's one of the few PG's who can't finish near the rim in traffic, nor can he drain an open shot (he's been a bit better lately)...

Don't know if anyone is watching the UCONN-WVU game. Some absolutely terrible calls against West Virginia. Surprised Huggins hasn't gotten tossed yet. Anyway, Shabazz Napier decided to dribble out the last 25 seconds of regulation and jack up a 3 with the score tied. Good work, son.

I loved how poorly coached UCONN is. Up by 2 with 10 seconds left...lets have 3 guys jump on the WVU player going in for the layup and try to generate a 3-point play and lose the game! (Terrible no call by the ref). Up by 4 with 1 second left...lets literally jump on top of the guy shooting the 3 pointer, so we can generate a 4-point play and allow WVU to tie the game! (Terrible no-call by the ref).
