This is always a fun tournament to follow. Worried about the lack of size for 'Murica. Spain could wreck us, with both Gasol brothers posing a problem.

Agreed Nahste, Spain vs USA could be a gem. Bummed Rubio won't be playing

Awe shit, I was just about to ask about Dwight Howard. Then I remembered his back is fucked.

No one else to play the 5? Just Chandler? What's up with Amare?

I'll be interested in watching Davis play at this level. It is kind of an inbetween NBA and NCAA level, so if he doesn't perform well here, he is going to choke in the pros.

Oh shit, the US are playing Brazil at the Verizon Center. I might have to hit that one up.

Who do you guys think will get the axe to get it down to 12?

It seems Odom, Gordon, and Davis aren't very likely. After that I'm really not sure between Harden, Gay, Iggy, Griffin, and Love, depends what kind of style they're going for. I hope that Iggy and Love make it out of those guys.

Pulling for Love and Gay out of those guys but feel that stupid Griffin will somehow make the squad for endorsement reasons

I think it would be cool if they went through with the U-23 age proposal. It'd be fun to watch all the younger guys in nba/college at the Olympics.

None the less I will still watch this team play because they are awesome and its for 'MURIKAH

It would be different because it would be applied to everyone and has nothing to do with amateur status, like in soccer. I'd still rather just have the best players in the world...

If they had it this year it would hypothetically be a team built around Griffin, Monroe, Harden, and Irving. Not terribly compelling.

If anybody wants to make comparisons between today's game and the 90's, just look at this team compared to '92. About five or six of these guys wouldn't sniff the '92 team, unless they were replacing Laettner.
