What a nightmare offseason for Dallas. If they don't land OJ Mayo, Lou Williams, or Sessions..

They forfeited the chance to defend their title for this failure of an offseason.

The Sixers have decided to use the amnesty clause on PF Elton Brand, which will become official on July 11, when teams will be able to bid on him.

He has $18 million left on the final year of his contract and he'll have a new team this season, as teams will be free to bid on him off the amnesty waiver wire, where he'll draw plenty of interest. That should mean plenty of minutes for guys like Thaddeus Young, Lavoy Allen and rookie Arnett Moultrie next season, and will give the Sixers more financial flexibility as they continue to look for free agents to bring on board. They agreed to a one-year, $6 million deal with SG Nick Young on Friday, and will re-sign C Spencer Hawes as well, which is why they were forced amnesty Brand. Teams under the salary cap get the first chance to bid on Brand, which puts the Bobcats, Hornets, Rockets, Cavs, Mavs, Suns and Blazers in a position to take a shot at him.
The Mavericks are interested in claiming Elton Brand through the amnesty waiver process, sources tell ESPN.com.

Really fun offseason, Still think we will see a repeat of this past years Finals.

Not if Howard goes to LA, I think LA will give OKC a run for their money

I wouldn't mind if the Cavs brought in Brand. He could take Luke Harangodys spot

I like what the Clippers are doing, except for the case of not replacing Vinny Del Negro.

No kidding. Give Blake Griffin a real coach that'll develop a midrange game and not make him look horrendous at the FT line.

Blake's bad FT shooting is on him, not VDN.

I don't it's a coincidence that Derrick Rose elevated to MVP under Tom Thibodeau.

There's really no reason that the Clippers shouldn't have made the WCF with two all star starters.
