    Deron Williams staying with Nets

Deron Williams has agreed to a five-year, $100 million contract to remain with the Brooklyn Nets.

Williams tweeted his decision Tuesday night, opting to stay with the Nets rather than sign with the Dallas Mavericks. He also directly informed the Nets of his decision and accepted the team's five-year, $100 million offer, league sources said.

    Deron-Johnson-Wallace-Lopez

Sad thing...they'll probably end up beating the Knicks in the first round.

        If they don't get Howard...

        Lopez
        Humphries
        Wallace
        Johnson
        Williams

        With a bench of...

That powerforward from Europe they just signed.
        Marshon Brooks
        Tyshawn Taylor
They are also on the brink of acquiring Reggie Evans with a trade exemption.

Even without Howard, the roster is pretty good Howard though, makes it a potential title contender. As is, it is more like a 5-8 seed.

I see them more as a 2 or 3 seed. After the Heat, their competition is a Bulls team without Derrick Rose for the first half of the year and a Celtics team that doesn't typically play its hardest in the regular season.

The Knicks were also suppose to be a 3 or 4 seed. Let the Nets get to 500 before we talk of them as one of the best.

Need Lopez to make a HUGE jump if you want to get to 2-3 seed.

I have a feeling Mo, St.lickem and myself won't be the only Nets fans in the world anymore.

You forgot Larry. If Howard comes to town the bandwagon will be full. I just want to see those Heat/Nets battles.

Larry doesn't count. Dude was a closet fan.

Dallas Mavericks minus Jason Terry minus Jason Kidd minus Deron Williams equals no playoffs for the foreseeable future.

Do not confuse closet with simply not having anything to talk about...
