    Raptors Sign Jonas Valanciunas

So they get two lottery picks signed this off-season. Only 20-years old, what kind of production is expected from the near seven footer?

He is the ying to Bargnani's soft-ass-no-defense yang.

Should come in and contribute right away. If hes going to start will be up to him and how he plays in the pre-season and early in the season im guessing. But im guessing he wont be starting right off the bat and Bargs will continue to play the 5 for now. Im really looking forward to him moving to the 4 tho.. defensively its a wash either way, but id rather have him having to step out and guard 4's then big centers in the paint. Jonas should take a lot of pressure of Bargnani.. hes never played with a true center. Looking forward to the future with these 2 guys.

        Raptors been putting in work...

Bargs, Valanciunas, Ross (who I feel maybe one of the top kids in this draft), Derozan, Lowry (uNDERRATED pickup), Ed Davis, Fields...that's a solid group of players...

. Bargnani is actually a good one on one defender, his issues lie in help defense (come across and challenging shots when his teammates get beat), and rebounding. That's why he's not effective at center but he's ok at the 4 because those things aren't as important. I'd just like to see Bargs get his rebounds up from 5/6 to 7/8 per game and I'd be content with that.

Bargs was not playing 5 last year, and he won't be playing it this year. If Jonas isn't going to start right away, Casey will start Gray or even play Amir out of position at the 5.
