    westbrook is very interesting.

basing this off of the previous season id think i would take rondo over westbrook if i had too. but still his age and skills makes a good arguement.

I'm surprised that some of you are picking Westbrook, because I thought the common opinion was that he was a ballhawk? I'd hate to see how many shots he'd take on a team rebuilding with him as the 4th pick and not much else.

        Kyrie or Westbrook.

It would of been D.Rose if he hadn't of gotten injured. I see Kyrie as a young Chris Paul with a better jumpshot, Westbrook I see as a player who can not only lead your team but like somebody said earlier he's a ballhawk which I wouldn't mind especially if my team was lacking scorers. It's not like Chris Paul could ever take over a game and score 35-40.
The more I think about it, the more Westbrook's athleticism and defense wins I'd draft WESTBROOK

Someone's gotta score the ball. I personally would like to see him at the 2 since I think his game translates better to that spot. Not to mention he's one of the best perimeter defenders in the game and young to boot.

I don't trust DRose or Chris Paul's knees especially Rose since his game was based on his ability to explode through the lane.

And Bynum is a shit head and I'm convinced he always will be. Sure, he's 24 but he's been in the league for seven years now surrounded by vets and still acts like a spoiled brat. He shows up his coach, disappears for games at a time and sometimes seems to not give a fuck about anything. Toss in the shorter shelf life big men generally face and combine it with the shorter shelf life that guys making the jump from HS generally face and I don't even think he'll be a top level center in 3-4 years.

Not to mention the only full season he has made it through thus far is one that was shortened by a strike.

I agree about Rose and Paul, which if had to pick a PG I'd probably take Rondo or Deron Williams. I can get people to score the ball and I guess if you moved Westbrook to the SG spot it could work, but I'd be conserned with his temperament and playing on a possible bad team. I'd be conserned he'd just say screw it and take 30+ shots a game. He already takes about 10 bad shots a game now and he's playing with a superstar and other great players.

Dang Glen, why don't you tell me how you really feel about Bynum? Look, I like Bynum.....I admit he is an idiot, but the only thing that really concerns me about him is his knee. Bynum could be great if he respects the coach and can stay healthy.

Sorry I'm out here in Laker land.. There is so much Bynum talk on a daily basis it's almost impossible to form an opinion on the guy whether you're a Lakers fan or not.

Jesus Rose gets hurt once (albeit a serious injury) and all the sudden his knees are more frail than Greg Oden. Rose is young its not like he's tearing his acl at 30. I think he'll come back just fine and play like he used to.

Im not sure why anyone would want to build their franchise around westbrook. Sure you need scorers but it a team game. PG is the position with the most influence over how the rest of your team plays and when you have a PG who will chuck up 30 shots per game your team is gonna play like shit around him. Sure he might average 30+ but I doubt a team with him as the only superstar will get more than 35-40 wins. Also I highly doubt westbrook would.move to SG it seems he loves having the ball in his hands and being the one to make the decision with it. I mean the guy is on a team with Kevin Durant arguably a top10 offensive talent to ever play the game and he still takes more shots than Durant per game.

Durant has ALWAYS taken more shots than Westbrook...it only got close this year, KD- 19.7 FGA, RW- 19.2, year before that, KD- 19.7, RW- 17.0, before that, KD- 20.3, RW- 14.1

If anything, Westbrook's assist totals dropped A LOT...but he's shooting a better % from the field.

My point is, it shouldn't even be anywhere near close. Durant should be taking 5+ shots per game more than anyone else on this team, and westbrook should be feeding him. I'm still amazed that despite having Harden AND Durant on his team, Westbrook is still averaging assist numbers that some backup PGs and even some SFs put up in the league. He was under 6 assists a game this year. How is that possible for a starting PG on a team full of shooters? He may be one of the most athletic guards in the league, but there's no way he should be chosen before PGs like Chris Paul, Deron Williams and Rajon Rondo.

yeah, his assist numbers took a dive...Scotty Brooks didn't seem to be too concerned about it but I think they will welcome back Eric Maynor with open arms...someone who can run the offense a bit better than RW and move RW to the 2 spot for a bit. I couldn't tell you why RW's numbers declined especially with KD shooting better and Harden being Harden, except him feeling and knowing that no one can really stop him from getting to where he wants on the floor.
