C.J. Miles To Sign With Cavs

Nice signing for the Cavs. Miles could easily end up getting a lot of playing time considering how bad Omri Casspi is.

C.J. Miles was being courted by a few teams to be a backup swingman — including the Mavericks, Rockets and Lakers — but he tweeted out on Friday that he has chosen the Cleveland Cavaliers.

According to Brian Smith of the Salt Lake Tribune this is a two-year deal.

One key reason he likely made this call was minutes. Miles, just 25, averaged 9.8 points per game last season in Utah but on 38.1 percent shooting — both of which were steps back from his production in previous seasons. With that, his minutes dropped with the Jazz and he was expected to move on.

With Cleveland he should get plenty of run as they will start likely Omri Casspi at the three and they are up in the air with free agent Alonzo Gee. They have Dion Waiters to play some two, but there should be plenty of minutes available out on the wing.Well, there are minutes so long as Miles performs and puts up numbers (and plays defense, Byron Scott demands it). There may even be starters minutes if someone wants to grab them.

              Lolwut

Kyrie may be better than john wall offensively but john wall is extremely athletic and huge so I don't foresee that matchup being a huge problem. Other than Kyrie who on the cabs honestly matches up with any of the wizards starters? Okafor and Nene will have a field day on zeller and varajao. Brad Beal > the Cavs reach on waiters and ariza is 100 times the player of caspi and miles combined and I think ariza is the weakest starter on the team.

Lol @ the Cavs being relevant in the next 5 years
