Harden to the Rockets, turned down Thunder extension

Some team is going to give him the max deal no doubt...but it won't be a team as good as the Thunder. Have fun playing for the 76ers Harden.

James Harden turned down a four-year, $52 million contract extension offer from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Harden is seeking a maximum-level deal worth $60 million over four years.

The Thunder have until Wednesday to sign Harden to a contract extension or allow him the opportunity to become a restricted free agent on July 1.

76ers would be a pretty good team if they could add Harden.

While I agree overall, I think that there are better teams to say "Have fun playing for" considering the 6ers were 1 game away from the ECF.

If true, the Thunder won big on this one IMO.

Harden and Lin in Houston? Interesting.

Great value going back to OKC.

Thunder getting major picks back, too.

"@WojYahooNBA: Houston sends two 2013 first-round picks (from Dallas and Toronto) to Oklahoma CIty, source tells Y!"

Plus a 2nd rounder via Charlotte.

Houston also gets Daequan Cook, Lazar Hayward and Cole Aldrich.

That's a hell of a haul for OKC I think. Martin is one of the most underrated players in the league...He will be great for OKC. Lamb has potential who knows if he will pan out, but they got all those picks too. Kudos to the Thunder, Harden declines the extension and they ship him out of town immediately.

So let me get this straight. Not only is Oklahoma City one of the top teams in the league right now, they are also young and only going to get even younger and more talented in the future?

Thats what makes Sam Presti so good, he did the same thing with Jeff Green to acquire James Harden thru the draft.
