    Does anyone remember GEERT HAMMINK?

Just wondering if any of you older heads remembers this guy since I was too young to see him at LSU, and his son Shane is now a freshman on the team.

There's Geert. And here is his son:

I suspect he might. His son does not look 100% Dutch, LOL. I am trying to find pictures of his mom, but Shane was born in Baton Rouge, so presumably Geert was getting some of that on-campus groupie love. For those interested, Shane is a 6'7 lefty wing player who played at an academy in Spain, and for the Netherlands U-18 team in EuroBasket. He could become a pretty nifty little player, maybe a poor man's Manu Ginobili type at the college level.

Yes I remember a nicer time in the SEC when you had Centers like Geert Hammink, Steve Hamer and Da' Meat Hook.

Geert Hammink was pretty awesome in NBA Live 95 for Sega Genesis. Underrated weapon.

27 total minutes in the NBA but still had your own card. That's pretty awesome.
