On the bright side, you get to smash hapless Mississippi St and have a good shot at leaving Maui 2-1.

Leaving Maui 2-1 is always a challenge.

Texas A&M lost to St. Louis tonight 70-49.

Thanks for boosting the SEC basketball profile, you fucks.

To be fair, St Louis is pretty good and loaded with Rick Majerus recruits, but yeah, TAMU is back to sucking and Billy Kennedy probably wishes he never left Murray St. The talent level dropped off a cliff now that the Mark Turgeon recruits are all gone.

Chaminade just beat Texas by 13.

Why does Rick Barnes have a job again?

e: Chaminade's athletic budget last year totaled $10,007.

Did not mean to diminish the BILLIKENS, solid program, much respect for them. But Texas A&M really had some momentum going as a strong hoops contender and it seems to have halted.

Speaking of which, Rick Majerus is said to be on his death bed or very close.

He used to be running buddies with Mike Francesa, back when Francesa was even fatter. Their restaurant tales are legendary. Francesa had kids and got scared straight on his weight, but Majerus just kept eating. Now he's paying the price and will probably pass away relatively young. I like Majerus, he's a funny guy and a great coach. Too bad.

He is just about done, one would think. He's been on blood thinners and constantly at the Doc's for what has seemed like 20 years. Didn't he have a stint put in a few years ago?

Great college coach. Dude just never had losing teams.

As Dickie V said last night - there are not 25 teams in college basketball better than Georgetown right now. I thought Indiana looked pretty good last night - they played tough D for the last 3/4 of the game and got good looks when they needed to score. Still, I hate them.

This LSU squad is fun to watch. They let the Demons of NSU creep back in it after building a 20 point lead, mainly due to horrendous free throw shooting, but they put up 101 points in the process. Really exciting group of guards and wings, they just need to figure out how to shoot free throws ASAP.

Through three games, the team is shooting 51% from the charity stripe, good for 343rd out of 347 D1 teams. Amazingly, they are averaging 84 PPG despite this glaring flaw.
