I knew that Kentucky would struggle to score points this year but I had no idea it'd be this bad. They have NBA athletes but nobody on that team has an NBA ready game.

UCLA loses again. Ben Howland and his collection of AAU "student" athletes deserves what it gets.

Who will quit the team next?

I watched undefeated Wyoming beat #18 Colorado (#3 RPI, undefeated).

Wyoming controlled the pace the entire game and I knew at 12-12 Colorado was in trouble. Colorado wants to run, and Wyoming likes to drain clock & play stout defense. And they did.

Wyoming does nothing fancy, but they grind away. Larry Nance Jr is a real nice player, especially for a sophomore. Natural leader, good rebounder, good defender, versatile, good post moves. MWC is tough, but Wyoming could upset somebody in March if they sneak in the bracket and draw an undisciplined bunch like Memphis or UCLA.

I was surprised to see Wyoming win that game honestly. Colorado has looked great so far this season, but damn Wyoming is undefeated still.

In other news, Nortern Illinois may be one of the worst teams in the country. They went about a 17 minute stretch in the first half against Dayton without scoring a single point. The score was 24-2 at one point, and 26-5 at halftime.

Maryland just beat a solid George Mason team to improve to 6-1 on the season. The only loss was a 3 point loss to then #3 Kentucky. They have a clear path at going into ACC play without losing another game. Dezmine Wells is the explosive athlete and scorer this team needed to replace Terrell Stoglin.

                  Turgeon is a great coach.

What do you think will happen if Kentucky doesn't have the typical mass exodus to the NBA this year? How will they be able to keep their #1 recruiting class without those scholarships?

Hadn't thought of that. Herm probably has some insight.

They will have to pull some schollies or come up with some medical hardships. I'm sure Nick Saban can provide some consulting to Cal on how to best handle this issue at the next scubmag coaches convention.
