Pels is confirmed. It was between that, Krewe and Voodoo (were hoping to buy out the AFL team's name under this scenario).

I think that Hornets was a perfectly viable and unique identity that they should have kept forever and ever, but if they are starting over completely I am glad it's not the same name as a currently existing pro team in another sport. Cardinals or Angels, which was also rumored at one point, would have been terrible ideas from a branding standpoint.

They are not gonna find a name that people love more than the Hornets, so Benson should just change his mind. Make a black alternate and STFU already. The Fleur-De-Bee is a top notch logo and it matches his other team just fine.

Not too many are real fond of the Hornets name. Been calling for the name change for a long time. Too many times being called the Charlotte Hornets on "accident" will do that.

But the Fleur-de-Bee Logo is one of the best things that has come from the Hornets name
