How? By telling us how good he is? You can groan all you want but, right now, he's not good at all. I understand you are a homer for NO teams but get your head out of your ass. Numbers don't lie.Comment

He was struggling because they originally tried to make him more of a point and he's not that. He has some passing skills but he's not a point guard. He's a scorer and they had him out of position until Vazquez started showing that he should be the starting point. It's good because u can play Vazquez on small forwards since he's 6'7" or so then have Gordon and rivers if need be. He'll get it together.Originally posted by Nick MangoldWes Welker is a great player. He's really taken advantage of watching film. If we don't keep a Spy on him, he could really open the Gate.Comment

So lets look at the supposed alternatives 1st and foremost. Picks 11 through 30
11. Myers Leonard - 5ppg playing 16mpg.
12. Jeremy Lamb- just recalled from D League. Played in 11 games, 2ppg
13. Kendall Marshall- played in 8 games, has yet to register a point
14. John Henson- 10mpg, averages 4/3
15. Mo Harkless- 18mpg, averages 4/4
16. Royce White-
17. Tyler Zeller- gettin 25mpg, putting up 8/5
18. Terrence Jones- 8mpg
19. Andrew Nicholson- 14mpg, 7/3.
20. Evan Fournier- 8mpg
21. Jared Sullinger- 5/5 in 18mg. Contributor
22. Fab Melo- hasn't played a minute
23. John Jenkins- 6mpg
24. Jared Cunningham- 3pmg
25. Tony Wroten- has played in 3 games
26. Miles Plumlee- 2 games
27. Arnett Moultrie- 11 games, 5mpg
28. Perry Jones- 10 games, 7mpg
29. Marquis Teague- 7mpg
30. Festus Ezeli- 16mpg, 3/4
Ain't shit there. Now lets compare him to the other Guards drafted before him
3rd pick. Bradley Beal. with 30mpg. Shooting the exact same FG percentage(35%) and Assist per game(2.5) while Rivers shoots a better 3 pt percentage. Beal takes a few more shots per game that brings his ppg to 12.1 to Rivers 7.6
4th pick. Dion Waiters he also gets 30mpg. Shooting a slightly better FG percentage(36%). and 1 extra APG. Rivers shoots a better 3 pt percentage here as well. Waiters takes almost twice as many shots as Rivers per game.
6th pick. Damian Lillard. This is the only guard picked before him that is head and shoulders better than him at this point in their young rookie years. He gets 38 mpg and shoots 41% from the field. While also shooting the same 3 pt percentage. Lillard takes twice as many shots as Rivers.
All of these players turn the ball over more than Rivers and Waiters and Beal average the same amount of assists. All of these guys DRating are all about the same.
But my head is in my ass. I actually watch the games and you only see a stat line. Blind hate for a rookie is real homo.

So on one hand you say all we look at is stats, then you proceed to post stats comparing him. So unless you've seen all the games of all those other rookies you're comparing him to, you are doing nothing different from what you are accusing us of doing.Comment

Actually I said I had to put it in terms you could understand. Stats/Numbers. But I guess you can only read so much. So please go away.

So that article that said he was having one of the worse seasons ever it's just hating too because of what you've seen? A lot of these 'hate' threads start because of your blind homerism to NO teams. They enjoy picking at you because they know how sensitive you are lol.Comment
