I think you'd need to be delusional to expect Kobe to say anything else.

I know but I just found it funny that the day he says this he goes 8-25 shooting.

well hes not going 8-25 1 on 1.

OBV not now but in his prime hes probably as good as one can be but this could never be measured in anyway.

He's has to make himself feel good about something at least, his team blows.

Kobe is speaking the truth. James' game is more tailored for a team game. Playing one on one is about ball handling, creativity, range, etc all of which are strengths of Kobe's game.

Yeah okay, you are aware that in a game of 1v1 you have to play defense and rebound the play right?

Are you saying Kobe couldn't rebound and play defense? The only way James could beat Kobe is if he backed him down in the post, which isn't a strength of his game.

LeBron, Durant, and Melo would all beat Kobe 1-on-1 right now. Prime Kobe, who knows.

And James would absolutely destroy Kobe in the post, there is no question about that.

Right now I agree, but I was speaking more so a prime Kobe. None of the guys you mentioned could handle a prime Kobe.
